No different than Family Guy? I hate Family Guy. I respect those who do, but....no that's a lie.. I just can't......

Yeah, I tried multiple times, with DBZ abridged and I didn't think it was funny. I get the jokes and the whole meta thing, but I just didn't like it. Like I said, it turned me away. Same with the "It's over 9000" thing. I'll try again.

I will say Family Guy's Star Wars spoofs are pretty funny. I enjoyed the ROTJ the most. That about it though.

The Nappa Ghost spoof is a classic!

If it brings joy to you guys I'm happy for you though! I know a lot of people don't like Kai, and I love my blu-rays!

DBZA is overly referential humor, just like FG is, only reason I mentioned it.

And yeah either you find it funny, or not, in the end just comes down to that. It's exactly the type of humor I find absolutely hilarious. Oddly enough much more people find it funny then I'd suspect. I've got multiple friends who all have very different preferences in humor – some like really simple humor, some much more complex. Some mainstream, some obscure and absurd – yet they all like DBZA, even those who don't care much about dbz one way or the other. Don't really know why apart from just restating that imo DBZA is genius. Humor is a weird thing anyway.

Okay. Yeah that's why abridged isn't for me. Cartman put it best for me. "Do you have any idea what it's like? Everywhere I go, "Hey Cartman, you must like Family Guy, right?" "Hey, your sense of humor reminds me of Family Guy, Cartman." I am NOTHING like Family Guy! When I make jokes, they are inherent to a story! Deep, situational and emotional jokes based on what is relevant and has a POINT! Not just one interchangeable joke after another!"

You watched Kai? I loved Kai thought it way superior to the original series.

I love it, but I love the "filler" episodes of the original. Those were much much better paced episodes, because they didn't have to keep padding them out. Although, I don't like calling them filler. I call them character development episodes. Casablanca Krillin was sorely missed! I also really wish it had some of the Bruce Faulconer music, especially with the imperfect Cell stuff. The Japenese music never really moved me. I really like it, but I wish there was much more variation.

I respect whatever your POV is on the manner, for it's your POV, but I for one really don't get why people have a narrow sense of humour. There are sooo many different types of things that crack me up.

Pretty much the only thing that ruins humour for me is if a character annoys me for different reasons which spoils it, or if it's real utter stupidity. I can't stand stupidity in reality so I have to know it's fake. (At which point I do an 180, because I LOVE purposefully stupid humor) Apart from that, I really wouldn't know how to narrow my humour down. Granted I definitely have a special place for meta humour and invoking real world contexts in other-world universes, so DBZA is golden for me.

Recently TFS played this joke, I was just nearly literally on the floor, just because I find it so funny people who're from a completely different world would reference a direct experience I've had my fair share of nerd rage about.

Questions. I know its not shfiguarts dbz related. But for the gamers on PS3. is dragon ball z ultimate tenkaichi? Or should i just wait for the dragon ball battle of Z? I'm currently at gamestop now

Hey c2close! I know this is too late, but maybe this might be helpful. I never played ultimate tenkaichi, but I heard it was a lot more shallow than normal, and had a lot of quick time events, but the graphics are really good. It got a lot of low reviews from both game critics and users, so that might influence you. I played raging blast 2 and really enjoyed it, but it was shallow and repetitive, but you get a pretty fun DBZ simulator, with a lot of characters.

I think you should wait for Battle of Z. I hope you were happy in whatever decision you made! If you ended up getting ultimate tenkaichi, maybe you'll let us know how it is!

@Silrian I'm kind of confused how you don't understand how people can narrow sense of humor. Didn't you just say you get annoyed if a character is utterly stupid? Oh and I should have wrote. I don't know if you knew but that was a quote from South Park, which I personally, found hilarious. From your response. I don't know if you did!

It's not that it can't be funny. For an example, if I was having a conversation with someone and then later they used a gif to describe their thoughts. I could have thought it was funny and then continued our conversation. Then I keep responding with paragraphs, while the other person continues to respond with gifs. The individual gif could have been hilarious, but I won't find it funny and later get irritated, because I'm trying to get back to out thought provoking conversation, and while the gif may convey your thoughts, it gets old and annoying quick. I am not necessarily having a narrow sense of humor, because individually I would have found those gifs funny, but not in that context.

We're all different and that's what makes life fun! Hey, I thought we had a pretty good conversation and got a few people talking!

I think we're all just excited for some more news!

I got the dbz ultimate tenkaichi for 30$. Haven't reallyed dbz since ps2. This is new to me on ps3 console. I just want to see them in action while at the same time watching dbz season 6 on dvd. I'm just really hype with the figures, games and dvd. So decided to buy it, hopefully battle of Z is far better than these knowing it will be a 8-players game. :) thanks for your reply sir

Awesome! Maybe we can team up when Battle of Z comes out. Don't let the hype die. Have fun!
