What do you expect ? DBZ is how old? it's a Anime not a Movie .Movies are watched by hardcore fans and casual fans alike.

Krec9.... you do realise that dragonball is still one of the biggest animes both in America and Japan?; theres a reason why there was such an outcry for dbz kai lol.

This line wouldnt exist if sales werent good enough, I think that speaks for itself.

I didn't expect DBZ to have this many fans at all. I saw it on IMDB getting really high scores, which surprised me! I thought it was some mindless fight show or another anime toy marketing scheme like Pokemon or Yugioh. Just a fad. I was shocked to see such an amazing fanbase! Although if it was like Pokemon, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Man is that huge!

I don't think it's wrong for me for me to wish that the people that voted in the poll came here though.

Oh yeah, dragonball is one of those anomalies that just doesnt seem to ever die out, and its completely due to the fans.

I agree on the voters thing aswell; like I said, some of them are really high up posters on sideshow, its a shame they dont contribute really.

DBZ KAI is popular do to the fact its straight to the point it's a breathe of fresh air.

Its forums like these that prove dbz isnt dead, and also; what are you on about? Kai IS dragonball Z, just a watered down version.

I just watched it for the first time this year, so I don't know. Although it might be a reason. New people discover it, which leads to new merchandise, and then brings back old fans together. I know there's a bunch of Dragon Ball Z games that are exclusive in a Japan that come out every year.

I just got into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles last year, because I was browsing through shows on youtube on, when I was in the Mayo Clinic, and found the 2003 show. Now I started getting into the new TMNT IDW comic series, but that's an ongoing, and just started last year. And with comic books, the story doesn't end, so that wouldn't apply to Superheroes fandom either. And there's new TV series and movies, that keep it going. Although I don't know much about Star Wars, I think it's the same case.

That's why I was pretty shocked to see so many sites. I'm not complaining because I got people to talk about something I'm really excited about. I'm glad Breaking Bad got more popular, because I finally had people to talk to about that! I just watched 24 for the first time a couple years ago, but had no one to talk to about it, so I moved on to the Wire.

I wouldn't call Kai a watered down version, especially if it's truer to the source material, with some carried over "filler". Watered down, would be adding padding to something just to make more content. You could make an argument of the original Ocean dub's dialogue being watered down.

I think "lite" might be better. I really like Kai, so I'm not knocking it. I just finished watching it in Japanese and liked it much better. Although, from what I read, the original acting is far better, because the actors were younger, which I have no doubt on. It just gives me another reason to experience the story again!

I just thought of the Simpsons episode where Principal Skinner tells Willie to water down the orange drink.

following this thread cause of the figures man i’m not one of those guys who pops on DBZ from time to time .Imo its dead its been for yrs no reason to get mad .
They don't carry any kind figures where I live hardly any merchandise at all .

Dragon ball z is the best anime ever and that's why it's not dead and will not die anytime soon . Dragon ball z and pokemon are 2 of the most famous cartoons/anime's ever! I watched DBZ in the 90's and it's still known today like a spiderman , captain america , batman , Simpsons , some of the most famous .

Maybe my calling kai watered down was a bit harsh, since it is true to the manga, but being brought up on dbz just makes kai seem as if it misses out on alot of things.

Hey guys, is it true that Super Buu is Buu's strongest form? Cause thats news to me. I always found it strange Kid Buu would be stronger, but in the series Ive never heard them mentioning. Someone said Goku says Kid Buu's less strong than Super Buu.

Anyway, I know Kid Buu's vastly in the lead and many prefer him for his final form, but Super Buu's the only version I's buy tbh... Especially if it is indeed his strongest version.

I don't know, I can't remember really. IF he is the strongest, it might have been his Buu-Han form. I think Ultimate Gohan was, at the time, the single strongest Z fighter. I don't know that SSJ3 Goku was stronger? Maybe he was. Ah who knows.. it's so much to keep up with. lol.

Yeah Super Buu is his strongest. And then each time he fuses he gets more powerful. However Kid Buu has no inhibitions, so he's more dangerous. You notice how Super Buu at least gave them some time to get Gotenks to fight, so he'd have some challenge? Kid Buu could care less. I want Super Buu more because I would want a more impressive figure, rather than something small and simple. However, Kid Buu is great in the show for those reasons and it helped to divide him even more than the other villains. He's kind of like Doomsday, if you're a Superman fan. At least that's how I see him. Hopefully that helps!
