He is not a lesser character in everyones book. He was vegetas right hand. He killed a few z warriors and caused havoc. He is one of the few remaining saiyans.

Also we all bought sdcc piccolo at 80$ as well I don't consider it after market because we couldn't get it unless you live in san diego. and toy arena sold it at that price and bbts. So people paid 2 times more then original piccolo for a re color. Like I said if the figure comes out good people will buy it. If you say I wont buy it if its over 80$ and he comes out looks great and is 85$ youll cave in and buy it. That is if you collect every character or like nappa enough.

Is Nappa a main character? I say no, ergo, he's a lesser character. That's how I meant it anyway. Piccolo IS a main character, actually, he's a massive fan favourite, and actually Toriyama's own fav (not that that matters much). Your last sentence sums up my argument, I don't think everyone likes him enough to spend a lot of money on and I don't think the majority of people who buy this line buy everything. Those are hardcore collectors, they're never in the majority, because most people don't commit that much money to one line. They'd rather buy favourites from other things.

I'll conceit my point about Tamashii's production strategy as I basically don't know f@ck, you probably know more than me, but even then, taking into account half tamashii's market (Japan) doesn't care much about villains in general (on hearsay), Nappa is a lesser villain. He's not a main character and not a main villain, just like Zarbon isn't a main villain, and yet he'd probably be more expensive then most main characters. I don't buy that selling, literally. I can be completely wrong, it's just my estimation. I think if Tamashii can't get a price range below 70$ they won't make him, at least not next year. Or he'll be an SDCC exclusive, but people tell me that's a long shot as they rarely make entirely new figures for exclusives.

I can see Nappa happening because I'm convinced he doesn't have to be (much) more expensive than Cell, not because I think he'll sell at higher prices. But hey, I'll gladly be proven wrong.

I see your points. Also no one is taking the fact that the proto was made. It takes tons of money for them to make it. They are not going to just scrap it. Also a ton of people had great feedback on it and I remember when he wasnt at sdcc everyone was bombarding their facebook asking for it. I know the asian market comes first thats the same for hot toys but we arent too far behind and our opinions definitely weigh in. This line has def picked up and can be seen in multiple forums. Before no one knew about it so there were literally no sales. Im surprised they didnt close the line.

Because of PwnStar511 we know they have tons of protos, so that doesn't account for much anymore... Nappa's was also faaaaar from being a finished product. No offence but that thing looks like it was mashed together as quick as possible to complete the over 9000 scene. They'll probably need to create an almost entirely new mould for an actual release, I don't think it indicates much.

So if Normal Goku is $40 and Nappa $80 then if they sell out of Normal Goku they only need to sell half as much of Nappa to equal the same amount of profit, and after they hit that I guarantee more people would buy Nappa because people see how cool of a figure he is and not because he's Nappa. Also putting Nappa and Normal Goku out there the same year makes more insurance for Raditz then he adds insurance for Turles and Bardock

I honestly think Nappa was just made for the purposes of displaying me in the diorama at SDCC with regular Vegeta and regulargoku. This was just to hype up regular Vegeta with his over 9000 pose, IMO.

Now I completely agree I mean yes I admit we don't have Nappa confirmed so getting those three saiyans could be hoping for too much, however if they make Nappa and Raditz you have 2 figures that would be individual sculpts and then doing Turles and Bardock you have figures with technically the same body sculpt other than the torso (armor) which actually would drop the cost. I will say this again I see how many will find this to be a long shot, however Bardock is liked by many fans.
Also with the lack of sales comment for Nappa I think if they made a Raditz they'd sell more Nappa, because I feel like if they made both more people would say "hmmm it would be cool to have all three originally shown saiyans." Plus SSJ3 Goku is still for sale on bluefin if I'm not mistaken and he probably won't sell out until Kid Buu comes out so really I think it's all about who you come out with after.

You are exactly right. If they release Nappa and show at least a Raditz proto at the same time with Normal Goku being displayed you get people buying Nappa for the three Saiyans and another Normal Goku or two for when Raditz gets released to make Turles and Bardock, so their sales go up on Goku, and If they release Raditz the following year then Turles would have to be the SDCC exclusive (or the long shot where they release Turles as a normal release and have Goku in the brown Saiyan Armor as the exclusive) then they would have to show a Bardock proto to please fans

yeah, then the after market price will sky rocket for nappa that people will be begging for a re-release :lol

Tbh the only saiyan I really want is Bardock, with ssj and normal heads.

Turles doesnt technically exist in canon, so he is out for me. Raditz I MIGHT consider, since he was the first villian even if he was a joke. I dont hold out hope for Nappa for the reasons ive already stated.

Sorry Killian, tamashii wont make a figure they know will lose money, even if they do make money back on another, thats not how any business works :lol

At this point I agree with kpman, Nappa was almost certainly just to pose with Vegeta, and probably was never meant to be sold.

this is what i want on my upper shelf :(

no, its because he's a big beast which wouldnt be possible for tamashii bring out and stay true to its real scale.

I dont think that is Colds true scale though, anime inaccuracies etc.

When he was on the planet he wasnt any taller than second form Frieza was, which makes sense since he is in that form too.

In other words, a king cold should be possible, moreso than nappa :lol and I woild actually love a king cold.
