Yeah, the reason actually is is that I owned an old majin vegeta as a kid and it was the only dbz toy I ever had that I really loved, so, nostalgia kinda. And Im actually a main char collector, I want most versions of the main saiyans.

Time to time, in SDCC always was a repaint of figure released, and the only repaint can be do it it´s Goku kaioken, Goku God version or Vegeta scouter, with other color, but i think the last option of Vegeta it isn´t probable

Ain't gonna change buddy. I'm not paying these prices for characters I don't find that important to me. Zarbon would be about as side character as I'll ever get. In fact, I can list my entire want list right here:
Guaranteed: normal Goku, twins, htc trunks, nappa, majin vegeta, burter, jeice, zarbon, android 16, U gohan (or tournament gohan), any battle damaged or kaioken Goku.
Possibly also (but just as well might pass): videl, super buu, supreme kai, ssj3 gotenks, saiyan/namek gohan, krillin, tien & yamcha, Raditz, and f@ck it, Shenron.

Boom. That's it. I seriously don't see myself buying anything else. Not worth the money to me. Yes, that includes Broly, no matter how big he'll be.

both of my super saiyan gokus have terrible paint apps on the flesh.. hes got his bicep is white but then his forearm elbow joint is orange. his neck is orange white his upper chest is white. its so ugly.

On a lighter note just got given Krillin for christmas - great figure! The destructo disc is alright, though everyone asks why he's holding an umbrella? lol! Maybe it would have looked better if it was a bit closer to his hand...

Man oh man, that bootleg looks too good. Good thing I have the legit one or else I'd shell.
In other news... I got Krillin yesterday... Destructo Disk snapped with the tiny thin pegs... I'm PISSED! Besides that, it's an awesome release, and definitive too.

I bought the fake act 3s and I wouldnt recommend it; very brittle, especially at the peg holes, and the clamp is quite loose. I have two and they both needed glued.

I think SDCC EX it´s not possible for one reason, only can get it in SDCC and what happens with the rest of the world, this figures of regular release are released in various countries apart from in USA, like Spain, Mexico, Japan(limited), Hong Kong(limited)...

Always in Tamashii nation events from bandai products has been repainted figures and this happens in others bandai series like Saint Seiya, in Tamashii nation events they sale repainted figures of Saint Seiya. This happen too in San Diego Comic Con. If they do something, they have to do a repaint because bluefin depends of Tamashii nation

I don't give a flying f@ck which stand you buy Blood, but I'd expect like Big D said official ones are the only ones even remotely strong. That peg breaking with so many people with krillin really sucks, they really ruined the quality of his entire effect piece.

Where was it said they were stepping away from repaints, I thought that's all they ever did? Unlike many other companies who release unique stuff at sdcc.

I can remember bluefin stating way last year that they were trying to do something other than repaints, but then we got Piccolo so think of that what you will.

I personally dont like the idea of new figures being sdcc exclusives; they would be very limited and the secondary market price would skyrocket. Basically, unless you got to sdcc, you wouldnt be able to afford it.
