That Goku image was meant to look like a collectible with a pixar style composition. His outfit is what impressed me.

If you don't recognize his explicit Japanese appearance after reading that, then you are in denial.

What I'm saying is not someone Asian with small eyes it doesn't have to be a white person it can be Latino , Mexican , spaniard , American whatever as long as they resemble goku . Japanese and Asian ppl have small eyes goku doesn't . Someone with gokus skin tone and big/medium eyes

coming from someone who has drawn and photoshopped for years. Goku does NOT look Asian nor white. He is drawn like every other damn anime character. First off black hair is not mostly Asians. Nor is black straight hair, if anything natives have that better then Asians as some Asians have curly hair while a 99% of natives have straight black hair. Also Asians have round pudgy noses, egg shaped heads for the most part. The point is that you guys are failing to realize that this is an a anime character.... IT is a form of drawing. Anime is not based on any race its a style. of large eyes small noses and mouths and pointy jaw lines. You can say what ever you want but if Toriyama wanted them to look Asian he would have he definitely has the capacity and skill to have done so.Just look at street fighter they capture everyone's ethnicity well. What I am trying to say is that there is no race behind dbz...ITS AN ANIME they all look the same. The boond docks... too black kids with the same facial features as goku... they are definitely not supposed to be Japanese. That's a perfect example those features everyone has listed are features that belong to the anime style not a race...Another perfect example cowboy bebop, or full metal alchemist(Europeans) same facial features as dbz. So please drop the whole race thing and I hope I didn't offend anyone but this is getting old. You might prefer an Asian actor that's fine but that doesn't give you the right to bash someone who prefers a white or Hispanic one. If they would ever re attempt a live dbz movie they need someone who can pull off his personality perfect and that looks similar race does not matter.

THANK YOU!!!! I kep saying white because is skin tone . But it can be Mexican Latino from England from Russia whatever ! As long as he looks sorta like goku . Goku is not drawn with small eyes and if an Asian or Japanese would draw him it would not resemble goku . And in the DBZ show/anime there's characters that look Japanese/Asian with small eyes but not goku .

These are awesome I hope one day this gets done in a movie trilogy . 1st movie shoes a quick origin at start of goku and then the fight with vegeta . Movie #2 frieza . Movie #3 cell!

The actors that I posted didn't have small eyes at all,
Takeshi Kaneshiro is mixed, so he has a unique look

his eyes aren't small.

Also, even if you needed someone with inhumanly large eyes you still must match the shape of them (and the shape of the head, shape of the eyebrows, mouth size, etc)

If they found someone who looked exactly like a real life Goku, then yeah who cares what race he is (*cough *cough Toriyama *cough), but suggesting Henry didn't do that idea any favors.

He should've been shocked that Buu was killed by a Saiyan instead of Frieza imo

I put some another actor pic by goku too . And just posted them quick as the first pics I saw side by side with an actor after a quick google search . And the actor also has to look good or right when put with blonde hair and green eyes when he or they turn into super Saiyans . And the anime show and the puffiness you said because of the lines under the drawn anime characters like goku is on a lot of anime and in DBZ most characters . I think it's just the style . Not meant to be puffiness like western ppl as you said I think

You know what is common with those characters across different Anime? They are Japanese...when we draw our super heroes with big chins, it's not a style we're drawing common features that we see locally, so a majority of our characters reflect that, just as anime reflect Japanese features.

Well because when he was awake frieza was terrorizing the entire galaxy, took over the saiyans etc. So he fell asleep through cell and buu so he has no knowledge of them. even though buu and cell were way stronger they didn't expand and conquer like frieza did and as I said he went into his deep sleep before frieza even destroyed the saiyan race.

The first Buu events must have happened during his sleep cycle (bibidi forging kid buu), and he happened to be awake during the reign of the Icers.

Not if so he would have small eyes it's a saiyan and it's a cartoon in which Japan are their talking dogs and cats and pigs and they have dinosaurs ? ? It's in Japanese culture of course becuz the creatures were , that's their culture . If they were Mexican maybe goku would be eating tacos and enchiladas or whatever and still look how he looks . Or f the creators were Indian maybe goku would be shown stuffing his mouth eating Indian good but still look how he does in the anime .
