I'd have them done exactly the same except that normal goku would've had been a proper saiyan saga goku with a better accessory array. And sdcc goku couldve been donebetter. Honestly id rather just have all the anime be retail versions in america and europe.

Everything else is near perfect for me, they made my fav chars in their fav version...

I agree on Goku Deano! I wish they would have given us a new mould for Goku now and then instead of re-issuing SSJ Goku again, they could reuse that body and give us that smiling face! Now that you've brought up Goku, do you think a Saiyan saga version would be released? I'm debating on canceling my pre-order, because I don't want to buy multiples if we get one next year as an SDCC. I had two on pre-order.

I wish Tamashii had released the characters in chronological order. Such as, Normal Goku first, then Krillin, then Piccolo, Scouter Vegeta, etc. Then move onto Frieza arc with SSj Goku & Frieza. Next is the Cell saga by releasing Trunks, Android 18, 17 next, SSj Vegeta, SSj2 Gohan, then Cell last. Finally, by now in 2014 we would be up to the Buu arc, and we would be preparing for SSj3 Goku's release in a short month (as opposed to Normal Goku), followed by Majin Vegeta, Gotenks, etc.

It still baffles me why they released SSj3 so early. It's almost as if they're working backwards.

Backwards you say? Ever read a manga? Thats simply how dem japanese people roll man 8)

It wasn't a stupid question. If I sound a bit pissed it's because I am... I just don't think they'll take this line where the real fans want it to go. That's what bums me out. We'll probably see a few more main characters, but I don't see a Yamcha, or any other side characters getting made. They've reiterated many times that they're only interested in doing popular characters. They even looked over Broly because he was "just a movie character." It's annoying, but it is what it is. This is why I see them doing GT after they finish the main characters of DBZ, because they're focused on what sells the most, and many GT characters will sell more than the DBZ side characters. I don't blame them either way, they have a business to run.

I disagree, I think they went the right route focusing on the Cell arc because it's the most popular and then throwing some bones to people of other arcs. They were also working with the popularity of Kai, and being that it takes so long to release figures and the Cell arc being the peak of the characters for now, I think it was smart. In regards to SSJ3 Goku, it's Goku so he'll sell and maybe they were using him to see how people would react to higher price points. I could be wrong though. Maybe they were purposely did a lousy paint job to see how lazy they can be with Goku releases and get away with it! Mwahahaha!

Not so, GT is not very liked in Japan. (If you thought GT had a low rep here in the U.S, then wait til you hear what people think of it in Japan)

They likely won't touch GT if they're primary focus is the Japanese market.

. I don't really care for minor characters like great saiyan man, or Master Roshi, given the cost of the figures themselves. Just not worth it.

Sorry this doesn't make sense to me. You dont want side chars and yet you find it bad theyre not making them?

Without even considering having to defend that I am a "real fan" I feel the number of releases per year is about the only problem I have with regards to serving fans. In fact I'm still impressed how much they listen to their surveys etc.

With the exception of letting themselves be ruhed into a lazy normal goku release, they're doing excellent.

At the end of the day, this is a premium line dedicated to the most sought after characters, even the bluefin tamashii reps stated so in the toy fair interview. It all comes down to demand, and while some may want the likes of Yamcha, others dont, and to tamashii, its about who speaks up the most.

Lets not forget that they are a company like anyone else, and if something wont sell there is no point in doing it. Everything they have done so far has been about what will be most popular; you want Goku? Here he is, but dont expect him for a few years, buy all these first; over 9000? Who cares if we havent done any saiyan saga figures, he will sell; most popular human? Go with Krillin, a fan favourite.

What im getting at is not to take things to heart, just enjoy what we have while we have it.

Oh and Crisis, I reiterate what I just said in regards to your "order" comment, sales are the order ;)

@Silrian, I never said I wasn't interested in side(recurring) characters. Minor characters are what I'm not interested in. @ThePhilosopher, Expanding on what Deano said, and my point from earlier, is that there is more interest in the main GT characters than there is in the remaining side characters of DBZ.

I do have to agree with Philosopher here though atamsk; we have been made aware time and again that even though America and the west have the bigger audience for these figures, Japan still has the majority say in who is made, and we already established that Japan despises GT totally. As much as some of us may like the designs etc, its just not a wise move on tamashiis part; they almost lost this line before, they dont want it to happen again.

I dont know why ppl are so worried about the minor/side characters like yamcha tien ginyu zarbon etc.. Like others said before the main heroes and villians are obviously their main focus which is perfectly fine and if after all those characters are made if they decide to chance it with other characters its a bonus! And i will for sure buy pretty much every figure they make lol

I dunno. GT may regain some popularity with the release of the upcoming colored manga. I also agree with what Rrashidp said, they seem to be only interested in making main characters pertaining to specific arks of the story.

Thanks Big Deano :)

Atamsk, I think we will eventually see some side characters once Tamashii runs out of main hero characters. (side hero characters are oddly more valued in Japan than main villain characters, wtf?)

I imagine us seeing battle damage versions of the main heroes alongside of side character heroes once they start scrapping the bottom of the license's barrel.

Wait when did we establish Japan despises GT totally? I could understand not being that interested in figuarts, but totally despise is harsh! Although in an interview for Battle of Z, a person in the audience asked if they're would be any GT characters and they responded with "Does anyone even like GT?" and the crowd shouted "No!", which is pretty darn harsh! I don't think they would have put SSJ4 Goku on the poll when there were quite a few big characters like Majin Vegeta, Post Time Chamber Trunks, a pre-Cell Games Gohan, and Nappa on there. They also just had a super fancy Dragon Box release of it which the West never got, but it might not have sold well. Funimation was probably smart and knew it wouldn't sell well enough for profit, but still I think SSJ4 Goku at least has a chance, but it wouldn't be for at least till 2019 at this rate. The common thing I see about GT is "GT was terrible, except SSJ4 Goku was awesome and the Bebi saga was alright".

LOL WOW that really happened? That is hilarious! :lol :lol :lol

...well, perhaps not to the few Gt fans.

When and where do they the polls to see who the fans want made? I'd love to partake in future polls, but have no clue where to go for them.

Thanks on the feedback about my sig, don't worry I won't turn into a spambot lol.

If I see it bothers people too much I'll change it to something that's actually cool, if anyone feels a burning rage from seeing, just pm me about it and I'll take it down.

I'm actually trying it out.

They host them at events like comic con, NYCC and SDCC. Then later, after the events, (way after) they may post polls on their official facebook page (they admit that the polls held at the events will hold more weight than the web polls they link to on their facebook)

I voted on at least 2 of the polls via their facebook.

I'm actually trying it out.
Thanks :D much appreciated, really thank you! :)
