I don't think we'll have much impact. the japanese market will either want him or not, and if they do, it's in motion already, probably.

Also, those fire effects aren't that useful for this line imo. What are they originally meant for?

I could see a SDCC SSJ God Goku in 2016, because the main Boo figures will probably be done and Kai will be long finished. Funimation or at least Fox will release Battle of Gods by then and there'll be another movie in Japan in 2016/early 2017. There was a map of where Battle of Gods rights were obtained and it showed a mark on the east coast of the U.S.

Yeah. The stateside release would probably be sometime later this year. I'd love a SSJ God Goku even though I'd expected him to be a bit more.

Is the next movie gonna be a direct sequel to BoG or otherwise?

Nothing has been announced other than Toriyama saying he'd want Vegeta to be the focus on another movie, which I think would make sense for a sequel. Battle of Gods was supposed to be 2 hours or more, and Toriyama said he wrote a lot of scenes with other characters that have big fans, but they had to be cut. Hopefully when 20th Century Fox releases it, we'll get the 20 minutes of added footage that was shown on TV in Japan. People were saying it helped the movie flow much better.

It'd be phat if Toriyama's words of "Vegeta being the focus" was a double entendre, which would mean he would create a story that took place on planet Vegeta before it became space dust

Jep, same here Cartoon. Although the plot's been somewhat spoiled for me.

I dunno... I don't look forward to any new DBZ material because they're not gonna include the soundtrack or the voice cast that is DBZ for me. So yeah... Can't really be excited about it.

The movies I don't care for anyway and they never had the faulconer score either, so that could just be a bit of fun. But I'm pretty sure a new series isn't gonna have the tone or the mood that I care for. But hell, it might surprise me.

About effect parts: I still think they need to release a separate effects package, or better yet, why not a set package as well? Mario Figuarts is getting it, why not DBZ? Do they feel these accessories won't sell?

Its not that, its that mario is quite limited in articulation; they couldnt sell him full figuarts price, so the effect sets make up for that.

I expect 1-3 protos at sdcc, at the very least kid buu and maybe ultimate gohan and say vegito. Gonna be kinda inexcusable if they don't at least signal where the line is going after 2014 by sdcc's time.

Well, how about Gogeta? I know he's not really a "canon" character, and they have yet to give any hint of interest into expanding into movie territory (which would be an utter shame if they don't at least consider it, once they've gone through the main Buu Arc characters), but Gogeta, like Vegito, is a safe sell that they would profit from no problem.

I think there's a chance of Broly crisis. He's got a huge international fan base. I'm not interested in Gogeta, being that he's only around for a minute, but he's pretty popular. I think he'd sell very well, like you said. Much much better than Yamcha. I'm just kidding. But seriously he would.

One problem with gogeta if he was a figure, he wouldnt have a base form cuz you never ever see gogeta in base form only ssj or if u include gt ssj4, id still buy him tho lol id buy any and all sh figuarts( cant really think of one i wouldnt get lol) what are some characters ppl would absolutely refuse to buy if sh figuarts? Lol

But Goku isn't coming with a SSJ head. That might be a huge selling point for collectors to get a non-SSJ Gogeta for the first time! You'd buy Bacterian? He stinks!

Regular Goku should come with a Ssj2 goku head . Would be a surprise and a gift for all this years waiting for it to be released .
