- We are getting MORE SHF DBZ releases then are anounced now THIS YEAR!
- They've made an over 9000 reference relating to the SH Monsterarts line
- They've responded with 'maybe, maybe not' on Nappa (credit to JUNIOR)
- There will be 2 SDCC exclusives but I think for Tamashii in GENERAL. Hope 1 is DBZ, they didn't answer.
- Zero Goku was first ever web exclusive rerelease and any others are still wait and see.
- We'll find out what the DBZ Exclusive is around the same time as last year (which was start of June I think) -> confirms DB will have one of those exclusive slots

Non DBZ (my own question)
- few other western franchises in consideration for the SH Figuarts line

Oh another release you say. I really do hope Nappa gets revived, and if they do they should rework his prototype because it looked really wonky. The improvement in the Androids makes me believe that anyway.

I'm convinced the other SDCC exclusive is from Sailor Moon, given how popular the line is and how much they're doing for the series (the larger scale FiguartsZeros, the advertising and proplicas)

What they're essentially saying is that they have to make a version they can sell if they want to. So I'm not expecting them to put effort into that.

But it's really nice that they confirmed we're getting an announced release and I don't think they meant the xdcc ex. Technically they also didn't even say how many.

I think we're getting either Kid Buu + a Vegeta exclusive, or majin vegeta + Broly as an exclusive.

I wonder what exactly they meaqn by another DBZ release this year. The SDCC figure has not been officially announced - could it be that? Or a rerelease perhaps?

In the most literal technical sense, yeah, it could just be the sdcc exclusive. But I'd find that kind of manipulative.

I dont think the SDCC figure will be a simple repaint, based on previous info hints were dropped that it would be the SS Vegeta mold with enough chnages to entice someone who already owned him to buy the SDCC version. Maybe an SS vegeta with a set of molded crossed arms, painted boot tips, a non-SS head and an effect part?

I know, that's true.

I just don't know man. Hell maybe it'll be a special edition of Vegeta and Trunks both in their hyperbolic time chamber outfits. And that that is the reason they're dodging questions on rereleasing either of them which they probably in that case won't.

Technically that would be in line with every single thing we know so far. Everyone would want it, but it would be vegeta. It would not be a rerelease because Trunks would have a new mould and it would be a release that's technically never released thus far. Making a stretched version of Vegeta's mould seems easy to me. Than perhaps the unanounced figure is a manga solo release of Trunks.

Hell I'd jump through the roof if that'd be it.

last year we had 5, now we have 6 so far with ex and re-issues included. this year has been booked so we still have 3 month left where nothing has been anounced yet.
im pretty certain it's a new figure and pwnstar already gave it away from the last time he helped them out that kid buu would be after 17

Hi All,

As some of you may remember, I was able to work at the Tamashii Nations booth last October for New York Comic Con. Well they asked if I could help them again for NY Toy Fair and of course I said yes. I just wanted to report back with some news after speaking with one of their reps from Japan (this was a different guy setting up all the displays). He seemed to be about my age (26) and was very friendly.

He said that Android 17 is next in the lineup with Kid Buu most likely following up after him to complete the main villains of the series. Super Buu and Fat Buu are much bigger versions and from what I gather, those bigger figures aren't favored by Bandai for production. He said Nappa and Shrenon are no longer a consideration.

We didn't put the figures in the cases yet but I wouldn't count on seeing any new prototypes at TF unfortunately. He just showed me Android 18 while he was getting everything ready for tomorrow.
