Im surprised anyone cares for Dragonball anymore.

Why are you in this thread then? Alot of folk in America an Europe still love dragonball, regardless of whether it is on tv or not; I watch it on youtube constantly!

Holy hell, Vegeta just became a much better figure for me lol; a big bang attack AND final flash hands?!? I am getting him just for that lol

Yeah that's awesome isn't it?! I pre-ordered this before I saw all of these pictures of the different faces and hands but I'm really impressed. You can position him doing all three of his signature attacks and he comes with the Big Bang Attack accessory! I'm very impressed with this being my first S.H.FiguArts and I'm really happy to have my favorite Dragon Ball Z character in his original armor, with his tail, and scouter!!!

Really? I found Kai to be superior.

Especially with characters not saying

"DARN IT!"

" OH MY GOSH!"

"CRUD!"

all the time, with the same emphasis one might say the swearword equivalent.. .and having it feel embarrassingly forced every time they did.


but that's just my preference

besides, Team fourstar is the BEST dub.

Being from the UK i havent seen kai yet (it hasnt aired here yet); ocean are still working on a kai dub for Europe as funi can't air here, which sucks.

I grew up on the ocean dub of dbz, still watch vids every so often.

Ahem, that would be me lol, and some of those poses seem to indicate that it may be possible, seeing as the fireworks attack was used on cui in the namek saga, as was the final flash type attack on recoome; Vegeta only ever used the galik gun in the saiyan saga.

TBH, i am a bit dissapointed in the effect part not being the galik gun, but any effect part is still good to me!

I'm in the process of watching Kai right now. I've got some mixed feelings about it.

I really enjoyed Bruce Falconer's music for the original series. I find that the music in Kai isn't as intriguing. Man, I loved hearing Vegeta's theme in the Funimation dub!

Also, I find that some of the new animation scenes don't quite fit in with the previous artists style.

That being said, it's still DBZ, and it's still entertaining!

Also, it does actually seem like the scouter just clips onto the faces; I really don't see them giving us so many faces just to have a scouter on the alternate ones.

Original dub is the best , the music is much more epic, and on a side note vegeta looks very bad ass and makes up for the previous vegetas lack of accessories...BUT i have to say the effect blast is kinda lacking lol

I'll definitely agree on the music. Original music was much better than most of the music choices in kai.

But Kai flows so much better, like in the manga. The original dragged on and had bunch of filler episodes.

Bruce really did match the epicness of the show. The movies that have the crappy nu-metal/modern rock music don't even bring as much to the table as he did. I could have gotten kai on blu ray if I wanted, but I've been buying the orange box sets because I grew up with those songs and those voice actors.

I grew up watching the original dub. The ONLY anime to me that sounds better in english than original *** dub.
