If I get this I'm def selling my reg Goku. The only thing that stops me from just buying branjita's decals is Mexican Goku's darker gi. I'm a sucker for the anime look. I think we all are.

He always wears a Bandai CO., LTD Collector Toy Department shirt. People from Bluefin wear a blue shirt with their logo on it.

The more I think about it, the more I feel they're going to make this a web exclusive release. Most likely in manga colors and probably without this special face. If they don't release a belted Goku as a regular release they are extremely stupid as a company. I'm sure the 5 Japanese fans in Japan are raging cuz they want this as well.

One good thing is that this could mean they're paying more attention to their international market. Also, maybe future SDCC exclusives will be minor retools of existing figures. This gives Cell Saga Vegeta and Trunks much better chances at getting released

No, no. We should NOT want retools for SDCC Exclusives. Allowing the product to be immediately controlled by the after market should not be the initial opportunity for us collectors.

@krec9 whining IS the way I deal with it.

Deal with that!

This ****ing is the biggest ******** ever. This **** ruins the fun in collecting these.

We shouldn't exactly want them but they're gonna run out of repaints eventually. They're gonna HAVE to do slight retools eventually. I guess they decided now's the time. I'm guessing SSJ3 is not gonna be an exclusive candidate.

Not happy that we HAVE to buy from the aftermarket. I'd prefer if there were no exclusives and figures were just standard releases. Enough of this web exclusive, collectors exclusive, re-release blah blah blah. Just give us regular releases with major characters always available. This series is too huge and popular to be so exclusive

Well, this figure seems to be it will be hard to get even at the event, ill need the event ticket + a special ticket to be able to get the figure + limited to 1 figure per person + only sold those 2 days at the convention...

Jesus, I'm gonna grab one the moment it pops up anywhere. This may be the rarest figuart of all time if that's the case. May even surpass SDCC Goku

i dunno.. something about this figure looks "off" to me. I can't put my finger on it.

Maybe it's the fact that when I think of Saiyan/Namek Goku, this image pops in my mind

he obviously had way less muscle definition & the gi wasn't so low-cut

If they're not doing simple repaints anymore then there's TWO things they need to do; 1.) produce/release a larger quantity at the event and 2.) Tamashii release a Manga version of that figure within the next year. Otherwise it's a big "**** YOU!" to all of us collectors. Especially those who have been supporting the line for a long time. I understand they have to keep the event exclusive as an "exclusive," and I don't mind that, but if it's a completely new release, all of the other collectors deserve an opportunity to obtain it even if we're not given the anime and the extra face.

Yeah, thats FAR too limited for it not to have another release somewhere.

I sent a message to bluefin asking for a simple yes or no answer as to whether Namek Goku or similar will be released outside Mexico at all. If they dont reply to that theres something fishy going on, cause thats plenty of leeway for them to give even a no answer.

Sadly, any picture we remember from the older art style won't be the style that Tamashii produces. It'll be the new art style. The art style of the left side of this picture fits the figure they're showing.

For real! This is making it harder to get figures. This will be the first figure I pass on.

still not sure what to say about all of this. I wish Bluefin would come out and say something. I want to be excited and don't care that Mexican fans are getting their own exclusive (happy for them) but it seems like getting one will be an absolute hassle, unless these start popping up on eBay for reasonable prices. There's so much to like on this figure (as far as I'm concerned), it seems strange that it may be an extremely limited release.

I don't remember ever seeing anything from Mexico on eBay before in regards to S.H. Figuarts. Anybody else?

I'm guessing this is what Tamashii was referring to with their "It's over 8000" tweet. Maybe we'll be getting the Saiyan arc version. Still we won't have the exclusive face or Kanji. Hopefully, the SDCC exclusive be announced before this event. I'm with everyone that that the most iconic character should have a normal release, but a lot of us thought that wouldn't happen because of the regular Goku we got. All we can do is wait to see if Deano gets a response.

@angelo The Mexican channel "Out of da Box" got figures way before we did and they get a lot of Dragon Ball content before America does. Heck, they got the Battle of Gods a year before the U.S. did. Actually a lot of countries did.

This their channel for those who don't know:
