Well, I just dropped $110 for the new SH Figuarts Charizard. Very sloppy design. Not crazy about it. The effects parts are annoying, and the stand it comes with is a pain in the *** to hold him up in a proper position because of his tail. I wish I had the older one with the flame thrower. The flame effects he comes with are not all that great.

Still hoping for a Bastoise and Mewtwo re-release

can you post pictures of the new one?

I had doubts about this newer one too, I like that they gave it some stuff to make it different but they could have done more.

Yikes, dropping a buck on something that's unsatisfactory always sucks. Is it still a must-have for you? If not then why not just resell it? You may take a loss but hey, ya win some ya lose some

I definitely need a Charizard to go with the Venasaur and Pikachu I have. I"ve warmed up to it, but still, the design is just awkward. Definitely wont sell it, because I'll take a loss for sure. Don't have a problem keeping it, just wish it was bigger, and not as sloppy.

Anyone know why this was never released?

Deadshot is coming May 2017. Here's the bad news. It's a tamashi web exclusive.

If AMATEURS can create something this good, then there's no excuse for Tamashii, Mafex or any other company not to. And honestly, i know this is subjective but I feel their "dot technology" with actors faces are always hit or miss. Case in point; the Han Solo & EpII Anakin prototypes look good, but many people have had mixed reactions with Padme and Ben Kenobi. Sometimes I think the sculptors cut corners with characters they personally dislike and vice-versa. I don't get it.

Amateurs? I'd give whoever did those customs a lot more credit than that.

I use the word amateurs with the meaning that they're not taking an official salary for their work, they aren't employed by a corporation as large as Tamashii Nations or Good Smile

Other than not being able to order it on HLJ or AmiAmi, why is that bad news? Bluefin will still be able to offer it through the regular retailers.

There is an excuse and it's called mass production.

Angelo kind of has a point, though they should still make sure the products match the prototypes as close as possible.

This. :lecture

They have to get products done and finished as scheduled.

Meanwhile you got custom artist sitting 3-4 hours just to get the eye details etc on a single head. That's why it can look so good.
