Just for comparison, the 1/4 scale helmets are 1/3 scale.

Yeah, that does look much bigger than 1/4.
(I'm assuming the IM is 1/4?)

If so, I agree. Much closer to 1/3. That's kind of disappointing.

Yeah IM and DP are 1/4

And they're pretty close to being side by side in the photos, right? I mean it doesn't look like an effect. It's surprising the size difference. (Not accusing, but asking.)

Yeah they're touching. You'll see the PR base is touching the shoulder/arm of each figure.

How do the SOC zords compare to the Legacy release a couple years ago? I missed out on Titanus unfortunately and was debating whether or not to sell Legacy and upgrade to something better :huh

Is that Gold Ranger power staff the Legacy version?

From what I've been told, the SOC are very similar in size, but the accuracy/quality is that much better.

I'm tempted to due to the same thing.

As for the staff, yeah, it's the Legacy Version.

Is there a reason why the PCS Dragonzord 1/4 Green Ranger isn't sold out yet with an ES of 193 when the 1/3 Dredd EX is gone? :huh

I think for a few reasons:
1.) Some fans don't care for it - myself included
2.) Some fans aren't willing to pay that much - myself included

It just goes to show sometimes even a low ES isn't enough to 'sell' a piece.

I didn't even notice the price was so much! For some reason I thought it was half that but I must've gotten it confused with the regular version which I didn't know about since I saw only the Dragonzord version at NYCC. The 1/3 scale Dredd was cheaper, wow :lol that's a first, haha

Did you order the Dredd EX 1/3?

Yeah, the price is ridiculous, IMO. And I don't care the sculpt. I was in love with the idea of this piece, but when I saw the final product (along with price tag), I wasn't impressed.

I thought it looked cool, I liked the summoning the dragonzord with the dagger look the best, but yeah that's a hefty price tag. I've been staying away from XM because of that kind of price tag with shipping on top too, sadly. I just don't think I could spend that much for something 1/4, if it was $500 I think I would've gotten it. Mr. Freeze was a tough pill to swallow but it just looks beautiful, and it's 1/3 to boot so I'm using that to justify it :lol

Nah. If you're committing to Prime 1 at that cost, XM isn't too much of a stretch. I know exactly what you're saying, but it's a natural progression. If there's an XM piece you want, go for it. You won't be disappointed.

Yeah, it's a tough call. P1 1/4 seems to be around the $700-$900 mark depending on the size of the piece, but I keep seeing XM pieces for $1200+, occasionally some for $900 but then you have almost $300+ on shipping and fees added to that, which you can almost buy a figure for, or save and be half way to a Sideshow statue, or 1/3 of the way to another P1. So knowing that in the back of my head, makes the decision harder to pull the trigger on one despite how great they are turning out and instead waiting and hoping for a better future release more locally.

For example, I was looking on the spec site you mentioned and was in awe at the Starscream statue, but my jaw dropped when I saw the $2000+ price tag :lol Venom and Cable were there but also for $2000. The Doc Ock did look cool there, and more reasonable around $1000, reminds me of Spider-Man 2 bank robbery scene, but not a character I would pay that much for. The Red Skull looks cool and is even cheaper at $800.

Venom isn't worth $2K, but if you can find him for 1.2-1.5K$ he's worth it, IMO. That's the problem with these pieces. They get hyped. The price goes way up, then hype dies. Prices go down. That's when you want to strike, but miss that boat and it continues to climb up again.

Thankfully, only a handful of pieces of theirs do that. The others bottom out and hold.

Seriously though, think about joining the XM game. I'm eyeing Cable next, but I'm worried that I'll end up just buying it only to sell it later. I'm thinking I'll likely go for the new Hulk piece instead. It's just perfection and I love the character. I really want that Hulkbuster, but I doubt I'll be able to display it appropriately.

RIP Bandai Power Ranger toys. They sold the license. Looks like all lines are going to be dead as of start of 2019 when the license expires. They might manage to squeeze out a few Zeo items and random stuff like the green ranger helmet and some other legacy figures but thats it. End of an Era.
