The planets are just aligning:dunno

1) MMPR 20th anniversary
2) Figures and exclusive Morpher released this year
3) Updated Dragon Dagger and Dragonzord next year
4) Tommy guest starring as the Green Ranger in the next season
5) plus, it seems JDF is really hitting all these conventions hard right now.

It's a milestone in the franchise, the nostalgia is at an all-time high, and the merchandise is out there to support it. The timing right now is perfect for it. Plus, it seems like he's the only original member on great terms with Saban. So why not, right?

I'm sold!!! :rock :lol

I wonder if S.H. FiguArts would consider doing MMPR Movie version variants once they are done with the entire MMPR release?

Again, Saban would have to beg them; at the end of the day, Tamashii is a bandai Japan brand, and they are only interested in sentai, these power rangers repacks that bluefin managed to have made along with female yellow are purely down to the anniversary, and as much as I would like to see American based figures it just wont happen.

I actually quite liked the armored take on the suits for the movie, made it seem like the suits actually offered protection lol.

Personally I always loved the movie suits because they felt like actual armor while the TV suits felt like dress up costumes.

Perhaps Bandai America would be inventive enough to release a limited edition six pack with FiguArts.

Nope. It's not just becuase of hue he anniversary. That's just convent.

The overwhelming positive response to the s.h. Figuarts line, and massive fan demand presented to bluefin is 90% responsible for these figures coming out. Buying from bluefin retailers will mean more figures will come.

One thing you forget Lerath; every single red or special release we have seen for this line so far has actually had more to do with them being in the comedy series Akibaranger. America just happen to get releases because both Tamashii and Bluefin know how much we want them too.

Unfortunately most releases actually have very little to do with our want of them, more just them using it as an opportunity to sell to a wider audience.

I wonder if that's a separate piece on its own or if all the individual weapons that come with the figures have the ability to combine

Except, you know, where bluefin told us exactly what I said before. The insane American popularity of certain brands ( mmpr, dragon ball, and mega man) are what's keeping them producing figures for those lines.

I will agree with you one the dragonball and megaman figures, but you have to see where im coming from; im talking sentai/PR figures in particular. the fact that we are getting figures we like is sheer coincidence, due to what I said before.

Akibaranger has had every red ranger apart from buster, gokaiger and shinkenger, and those were released when their respective shows were airing. The same for sixth rangers, even green and white were made because of their appearance on akibaranger, its just coincidence that we wanted them. Theres a reason why the japanese line has akibaranger extras included, all we get is repacks without them, not that it isnt cool that they are repacking them, just that they werent made specifically for us.

Not saying we havent had any input in the sentai releases, just that we have quite a bit less than what you think, despite what bluefin said. The details are just too large to ignore.
