Decided to take some pics of Mace.

It feels light on the accessories, but then again I don't know what else they could have offered. If I can get an appropriate Rikhor409 cape for this figure, it'll be perfect. Maybe the best release so far.

Then on the other hand there's this debacle:

This is straight out of the box. Broken knee joint, pouch fell off, kneepads won't stay attached and the sloppiest paint by far out of any of the troopers in this line I've purchased to date. If the place I bought this from can't help me, I'm honestly going to bin the figure and buy an extra standard FO trooper to give the accessories to. Absolutely shameful considering this is a web exclusive made to order.

Mmm, to me, the lower leg looks just to have popped out, the peg doesn't look to have snapped to me. The kneepad and pouch, well, they could well be broken, so you do have a case to get either an exchange or a refund. If they ask you to send the figure back though you lose anything good that came with it. It could be the only bad one out of a case that the retailer got, so if exchanged it would, one would hope, be doubtful you'd get another that was as bad or worse.

See what the retailer says and take it from there..

If nobody else reports issues with either Mace or Riot then they'll both be on my list still. Mace may still retain his price for a while, but Riot could go up as he was a web exclusive. Just have to see what happens I guess.......

Surely the FO trooper mold isnt suffering from mold degredation already? Thats unacceptable if true and none of them should have left the factory, especially with it being a web ex.

I hope the same isnt true for the gunner trooper, he uses alot of the same parts...

I liked TFA , but I was surprised that there was no reference to the prequels.

I just have to pop in and say that there actually was one single reference to the prequels in TFA- when Kylo is arguing with Hux about the effectiveness of his trained army full of regular men, he says something like "maybe Supreme Leader Snoke should've used a Clone Army."

The peg isn't the problem, it's the hole in the thigh it fits into. It's miscast and too shallow, the knee just hangs off with the joint fully-visible.

Damn neck is too small.....hopefully I can fix that. Making an actual Commander Cody head once my Jango cast comes in.

Had some friends watch the Star Wars Saga for the first time. He watched it from 1 to 6, while another watched it in the "Machete Order". Both of them liked PT more than OT because how vast and, there I say it "dense" the universe was compared to the scaled downed OT.

But when they watched TFA, they were sorta had no comment about it since it had more references to OT than PT. TFA, bummed me out to since it was sort of a "soft reboot" of star wars.

I had the thought that maybe one of the reasons they had to redo the storyline of TFA similar to Star Wars was that Fox had still rights to it. Correct me if Im wrong with that.

You could well have described what has happened, and no, it wouldn't bode well for the gunner as, apart from hands, it may well use all the parts from the original FO figure.

Wow Gearhart21 very nice custom ... Oh no I feel the pull of the dark side urging me to buy clone troopers and customise them as well, curses!

In terms of design elements the fluid lines and sleek finishes on things like the Naboo craft look like they'll stand the test of time for me.

Back in a previous life I worked for a large rental and staging company in west london. Our set design/fabrication sister company next door had a secret project...so I went next door to do some lighting on what turned out to be.... Anakins pod racer and the Naboo starfighter.

...and you are right. The lines, the chrome. In retrospect they all scream 1950's Jetsons. (and I've fond memories of romping around those props)

don't mention actually seeing the entire prequel trilogy to me in polite company however....
