Things get heated in here! I sometimes wonder if we would be so aggressive if we were all in a room together. Group of dudes, slandering each other over toys.

Almost certainly not. This level of aggression is a result of the impersonal and relatively consequence-free nature of the medium coupled with a natural psychological disconnect between text and speech. Although I do believe when it's in writing we refer to it as libel rather than slander, although it's a very specific legal definition. Most of this is garden-variety slagging. ;)

Anyway, I'm frothing at the mouth for that Phasma. If you see that chrome broad up for PO, by all means order one for yourself first and then GET YO' GEEK *** back onto the board and let the rest of us know....or else verbal retribution! :)

Very well then.

Dang. Mighty impressive definition of the world we live in today. Sadly, we are all guilty of it.

Yes libel is written, slander is spoken. But none of this amounts to either, as you said. Denigrating someone's character in a non-specific way (ie: i think you're an *****) isn't libel or slamder. For something to constitute either it has to make definiably erronious claims about someone and assert their validity. "You don't understand this because you were held back in the seventh grade three separate times, I've seen the school reports." That would be libel.

They're doubling the price, and they do it cause they know it will sell out soon.

These are common practices by BBTS, they do these sort of thing a lot, like when they see a figure is selling incredibly well, it goes "out of stock" for a few days, and then it suddenly comes back at a higher price.

I'm not complaining, it's free market, I just don't buy imports from them.

Fair comment, I didn't realise the mark up was that high. Just playing devils advocate :)

Obi wan ep1 is back up for pre order on amiami.com. I just ordered a second.

Is anyone aware of anyone who makes cloaks, tunics etc for figures at this scale? I'd love to have one obi cloaked and one not on my display.

I lack the understanding of charging more than double the cost of these figures.

And how do you know what they're paying for these figures? Do you work there?

How do you get to that $95 price point?

Theres no north american distribution for these, the only way they get on the continent is by buyibg them from japan, japanese companies cannot discount them for wholesale to north american companies

Any pics of his BS Vader cape? I can't figure out how to look at his past auctions. Did eBay suddenly become difficult to navigate?:lol

I don't recall ever seeing a Vader cape. But everything else is awesome quality just make sure to water treat it and they end up flowing nicely with the figures form.

Here's the black cloak from eBay I'm still forming the hood.

Who would of thought I'd come onto a Star Wars action figure forum and learn the difference between libel and slander. Better yet I learned we haven't been doing either on here. Just good ol' fashioned internet flaming. Kudos fellas.

You are a certified moron if you see Phasma on preorder and you don't inform the rest of us. I know this because my mom told me so.

Looks good sinostrius

I'm looking at his robes now and trying to decide between the dark sienna or caramel robe for episode 1 obi...

Heads up guys Maul is back up on hobby link japan. I just placed an order.

Also obi wan and the battle droids are up for pre order again on ami ami.

I've also bought jedi Luke from ebay along with a cloak for him and obi. :yess:

Cheers. Got a third Battle droid and clone.

This eBay seller makes the best cloaks and other Black Series and Figuarts scale items.

Seller: rickhor409 | eBay

I bought two Jedi robes for Obi-Wan and Anakin from him. Robes are great and of nice quality. Only problem is that the hoods on them are about three times to big and for me are very hard to get right.... if at all. Never planned on displaying them hood up, so no big deal to me. They make the figures a lot better.
