Wait, so the BS Vader cape on the SHF figure would make it the "best" 6" Vader figure? I have an extra Vader just sitting around. I might as well put that cape to good use.

I think that the BS Vader cape on the Bandai model kit looks the best. The SHF Vader is too undersized for me.

You know, I'm late to the game on these, except for obi, so I'm looking to pay over the top prices on the ones I've missed out on.

From ami ami, obi is around £25. EMS shipping is £9. That is dirt cheap. Especially considering black series are what, £20 over here? (I've never bought one - too Toyish) petrol to my local store to get him would cost £9 and he would definitely cost around double £25.

On all future sh figuarts Releases I want I will pre order on ami ami straight away. I wish maul and luke were still available on Japanese sites. They are really cheap.

@Vortex dat Han face sculpt is so good. At least from that angle.

I think all their human likeness will be pretty spot on as they use 3d scans I have heard?

@ WWEJedi I don't think I'll have access to that exclusive (for that price) as I'm from europe and there's no walmarts (EDIT: walgreen:lol) here to my knowledge, but I appreciate the tip nonetheless!

Yeah I had BS Han though and I was actually fine with everything except his head, but that Han face sculpt is better than hot toys and anything sideshow I've seen. The Luke is great too overall although I think on this picture his likeness is lesser than SHF Jedi Luke.

I had BS Chewbacca too... I wouldn't say it's impossible to be in scale with that SHF Han, because SHF Luke seems as tall as BS Luke I think, but as I said SHF can be unpredictable with scale accuracies, for all we know Han might turn out a little short (you can actually sorta already see that's a possibility on the picture now that I look at it, Han and Luke are awfully close in height or Luke could suddenly be too tall). Then again, chewie is just always massive... And BS Vader works with SHF Luke scalewise too imo. So min=or indications would make me say yes, but I'd still temper enthusiasm just in case. For example with DBZ we got a MASSIVE Broly and then the figure afterward was underscaled. Not necessarily a stab at SHF, just saying, scale is one of their least reliable factors.

Oh my bad, sorry.

Figuarts Han looks really good. It screams Han. I would like to see some better pics, but early looks of it... it surprisingly looks like it can match Hot Toys. Luke looks just as good. Actually I like this Farmer Luke more so than Jedi Luke. What I am more interested in is that Falcon Ramp. That looks incredible. I assume it will be for sale? Hopefully.

Good to hear that these are mostly in scale.

Just pre-ordered Episode I Obi-Wan Kenobi on big bad toy store. I trust them alot more than trying to go through another site, even though I had to pay more. Can't wait to get him!

They're scalping SH Figuarts Star Wars IMO, especially TFA stuff.

I looked on bbts and on the listings there's some Sort of disclaimer explaining the high prices for these. Or at least there was the last time I checked.

If you miss out at HLJ or AmiAmi or don't have a friend in Japan, you will definitely pay a premium for these figures. I was late ordering Jedi Luke so I didn't get a very good deal for him at TFSource, but that was the only place that wasn't sold out other than eBay crazy prices.

I do not see anything. Only thing I see is the one per household warning.

NP.

Definitely wouldn't place ALL hope on that falcon ramp being released. It's certainly possible, but I've seen many props/dioramas they use in displays that will never get released. They built a massive SHF scaled half of a spaceship for this sdcc's DBZ display. We'll never see that released I think. They have all sorts of rocks etc for diaromas for DBZ over the years – we'll never get them. Hell, they showed an entire big prototype figure and a huge dragon figure from DBZ JUST to hype up the line and other rekeases, with NO intention of releasing that (although they're now harassed by fans for years over it). That first issue vader bonus death star diorama might just put our hopes up too high regarding future dioramas, tamashii will do a lot to hype their figures with stuff that they won't actually sell. Or is long gone sold out for.

Figuarts is the main figure type I collect, I love the company for making my childhood dreams come true in a way my adult eye can enjoy, but sometimes they can be awfully disappointing and... misleading in their advertising methods I'd even say. The upside is they can surprise positively as well, but as a whole they're very hard to predict as a company. Until you see an official statement from tamashii themselves about it, anything could turn out different. Genuinely, they'll show you **** and it might never see any type of release. They can be a total gamble.

Now I definitely do not dabble in everything they make. But I've followed them for 3 years now, figuarts is the reason I joined and am on this board. From that experience I can only advise saving a chunk of your enthusiasm as much as possible for things that are secured i.e. officially stated to be released. Or at least have been shown with nametags without 'for display purposes only' on it – and even then it's not a sure thing.

Just a well-meant note of caution for new collectors from a big fan of figuarts... Once you get hooked on these and you build too much of an expectancy some big disappointments could follow. I'd call it a bit of a high risk high reward line or something. But maybe that applies to way more lines then I realise at the moment.

Plat, I just got Maul like a week ago since HLj opened PO again. They do it from time to time, especially when they are in stock (which should be at the end of the month) check again here, I'll post it if they are in stock.

Yeah, I know when they're sold out the price spikes immediately, it just weird seeing BBTS charge nearly $100 for preordering these. I have every SH Figuarts Star Wars released ( also preordered) and I'm glad to have paid $40 or less ( not counting shipping).

Lol I thought you were gonna say needs more Nappa:lol
what if she gets nappa'd? :panic:
wait, why am i panicking? i'm not planning to buy it, am i? why am i even here? :panic:

Yeh Platty is right last time I looked release is the 30th so first week of October for in hand.
it may be sooner than that

I've also paid under $40 for every figure other than Jedi Luke so far. You basically have to check HLJ or this thread every day. You guys have been awesome helping people find the figures online.
