They really cleaned up ROTJ Luke’s print tech face for this release! Now I gotta get more. Damn you Nippon Yassan! This pic is from Facebook.View attachment 416399

I got my ROTJ re issues and they look great. The faces are printed a lot clearer and the skin tone is warmer compared to the original (I prefer the original) the hair is muted down and has more bronze in it. The collar has been changed from the original it goes down below the collar bone and gives it a square look at the bottom rather then the v collar the original had its more like the knock off version now. The belt is also less glossy then the original. There has been a lot of talk around the message boards and in eBay listings about the wrist joints being weak that’s not true. The joints on mine are just as solid as on the original if you know how to switch them correctly I removed and put on each hand and there weren’t any issues. I’m not sure which I like better the original or the re issue. I’ve had the original since it was first released so I’m pretty attached to it but the new clearly printed face looks incredible. If anyone wants pics let me know.

That looks fantastic! I have mine on it's way to me at the moment and wouldv'e been more than happy with a figure at the same level as the original. Hearing they made substantial improvements is a nice surprise. Really looking forward to receiving mine now!

The pre-order rate has fallen off a cliff. The rest of the year is a re-tooled Chewie and a repainted Stormtrooper...... that’s it.

Ok I did forget Anakin, but when it comes to Figuarts there is no point talking about “potential” releases. Grievous anyone ?
Yes and on the other side of the spectrum just because they haven't revealed as many figures to your liking doesnt mean the line is failing. Tamashii has other lines they need product for as well. For us to have this many figures after the line being a little over 4 years old is amazing. Dragon Ball Z which even holds the license here is the US has been around since they opened the figuarts line and they are lucky to get 3 to 5 figure a year including reissues. I wouldn't be concerned about the line itself. We will likely get surprise releases that they only tell us a month ahead of time like they do every year.

It is but Qui Gon, AOTC Anakin & Padme were P-Bandai exclusives that had a limited production run with the probability of not getting a reissue.

Problem is there is no other 6 inches available by any company of those characters, two of which are central main characters. Why make them exclusive? That doesn’t benefit anyone

Yes Bandai and Tamashii have a habit of showing tons of prototypes and not releasing those figures, however I wouldn’t say the line is dying

They’ve shown a lot of stuff but it takes time to release. They don’t just dump a ton of figures all at once. They space them out and from a business stand point that makes the most sense. This is how Tamashii has done things for years with all their lines

Yeah. I really hope Leia happens. She’s the only one left to complete the ANH lineup, before they move onto more ESB & RotJ.

Leia will get released. I think Leia, Craite Luke, Obi Wan (III) and Yoda will be in the next round of pre orders. It’s Jabba and Wicket I’m concerned about.

Oh I forgot about Jabba! He looked awesome.

It’s a shame we won’t get a Slave Leia to accompany him, with Disney & all. I actually ordered the Black Series Slave Leia which should be here today.

My re-issue Han came yesterday. I can’t confirms as I don’t have the original but from photos, the head is much improved, I really like it!

One issue though, his gun is a bit bent and mid-shaped. Any suggestions how I can get a replacement? Ordered from Nin Nin, not sure its worth contacting them.

I got old Ben and have been messing around with him since yesterday. They really went out of their way to make him as un-interchangeable with Obi-Wan as possible. The only way I could get a fabric robe on him without his brown sleeves peeking out the bottom was to change his arms with Obi-Wan at the elbow, which fits in the joint fine and comes out easily with some heat. I only had a Qui-Gon robe from rickhor409 so it might be a bit big.

Overall I like him, there's some trade offs on this one. The face is great (to me at least) and with the hood up the plastic robe doesn't look as bad as I thought it would either. But his inner robes look less detailed then the Obi-Wan figures and his hard skirt piece is a bit annoying to get under to fix is feet when trying to stand him upright. Good to finally have him on the team though, cannot wait for Leia.

Not quite Figuarts (No Mafex love here?), besides the guy in the back lol, but I forgot how AMAZING the Mafex Shoretrooper is. The softgoods, weathering, articulation, man its GOOD. Not to mention he comes with parts to build him into either the squad leader or grunt.

Nothing to do with “my liking” just an observation based on the release rate. I’m sure we’d all like a faster release schedule. However, there is no doubt that the release rate of this line has slowed down significantly.
