I haven't had a chance to take it out of the package yet, but I can tell just viewing in natural light that the Mafex Vader has the correct helmet shading pattern applied. Not exactly the right shades but it's something the Figuarts Vader lacked.
Yeah, it's cool that you found a preorder, the well dried up quickly! Although I suspect we'll see some in stock once it's released, but to your point, it's risky to not preorder the TFA figures, they're hot!!
ToyWiz is about the last distributor that gets imports early. They are miles behind everybody elseIn couple of weeks, maybe days it will change to release TBD. I've seen them do this many times on many lines
BTW it was revealed at NYCC 2015 that Figuarts is doing TMNT the cartoon series. The vintage 90's cartoon guys! coverage on Youtube

Captain Phasma shouldn't be that difficult to obtain at release for a decent price on ebay as Darth Maul displays here.

I wouldn't freak out and/or over pay as the above poster did by ordering from Toy Wiz (sorry) or the other people did by ordering from BBTS. It will be able to be had for much cheaper than $80 plus shipping.

She's also a regular release so she'll most likely will get a re-release too. Pre-ordering is convenient but not really necessary.

Well, re-releases are not always certain and they don't always have in-stock items after the POs.
Secondary prices are crazy these days, that Maul is overpriced as it is on eBay on that link.
PO is quite necessary if you ask me.

I paid $50 EMS shipped for Maul to Ohio, $6 more ain't that bad. Sure PO if you can.. from the correct places of coarse.

They are maybe the worst toy company to exist. They are nothing but scalpers. They go into areas and literally buy everything and then resell it on there site for twice the retail price. Disgusting.

i POd her too from TW. she is the only one i would pay a little extra for just to make sure i got her. plus she sold out faster than any of the others did. even if they re release her i think she will still be tough to get because shes popular. 60-80$ is fine for a import figure, some pay that for 6" Black Series figures that they make tons of.
