So my Maul arrived today, here's some pics with the Disney Elite:

Great photos! My Maul should have came today but I got a customs charge instead! Not bad going though. I've had numerous orders from HLJ etc. which got through, I've been lucky till now.

Most of it will probably be Post Office handling charge. Robbing bar stewards!

I always get the EMS shipping (more expensive by $3-5) but I've NEVER been hit with customs fees. I assume it's because they include it with the type of shipping. And it's faster.

I always like EMS if they offer it overseas. I know sometimes it's expensive. But the fact I can track it is always a plus, that way if anything happens they can't come up with excuses to me because I've been monitoring the progress.

Well I finally got my Maul in! Tamashii keeps fulfilling my dreams! I was so psyched I put on duel of the fates when I unpackaged it.

As I said before I had/have an idea to fashion a robe out of a forlorn lotr nazgul figure's robe and uh, well here's the result, solely by quickly futzing about today and taking a few shots (with my phone so, neither the robe nor the photos will be anything fancy!). Obviously it's nothing near accurate nor worthy of this figure, but with some work it may. Now I basically have 'Nazgul Maul'. Especially getting a hood in any proper shape will be a *****, I might switch material.

Thanks, I just took some quick shots, pardon the crude pose.

I like him more with the robe open tbh, showing the belt, but it does close, the problem is that it doesn't stay closed a pin of some sort or a quick stitch should fix that, but for now I'm done with improvements, maybe over the weekend.

I don't know man, I'm located in the US.

What I did was the following:
For the sleeves and hood, I got a very thin and soft cotton fabric, almost like t-shirt.

For the body, to get the creases I got a pair of socks the nice formal kind, they're usually very thin and soft and they come with countless patterns, if you kind find a similar pattern you'll be set.

Good job on that hood, it blends perfectly. A robe does make the figure look even more badass.

EDIT:2 btw your hood is that double layered material? Maybe I should try that. 2nd pic is particularly awesome.

It's one layer of that t-shirt like fabric. If you look at my pattern, the top part of the hood with the double lines, I cut that part a little bit longer so you can fold on its inside, covers the face better and doesn't mess with the draping. Then I just put a tiny invisible stitch to keep it from unfolding.

Haha! no offence taken, that's funny. So now he's nazgul, desert dirty, grandma maul. It's funny, because of this robe I wondered if I could entirely make a custom 6" maul way back before I even knew of the 6" hasbro series. And now it's devaluing a fantastic figure. I don't think the fabric will survive dying it, if that was at all possible. It doesn't bug me, but I can get it being distracting.

Btw, bit off topic, but just saw the new Rebels episode and it has a familiar character that I loved seeing return.
