The helmet isn't at all bad. Not 100% accurate, but hey its closer than the figuarts attempt. And because I'm always the one who can NEVER leave anything as it is, I painted the armor to suit my liking a little more. Not sure how much more I like it, but its better than the straight silver that it was. I'll have to go in later and clean up the lines a bit, should have been more careful.

Oh no, I disagree, I think Figuarts did a better job on the helmet and face, only cause it's messed up in proportions.

While I agree with the LAST two on that list, we shall respectfully agree to disagree 
However I just realized WHAT A BONEHEAD I AM. I painted the chest armor with a custom graphite I used on the model. Then realized its an enamel...and the plastic is soft.
Well I guess we will wait to see if it ever dries....if it doesn't....well thats why i have the Figuarts!

no problem, the Mafex is really cool though, I would definitely get him over the Figuarts based on size and cloth cape alone.

Should be fine, I've used enamel paint on plastic and vinyl figures before many times. It's just not that easy to rub off or clean because when it dries on soft vinyl, it tends to harden up. Where as Acrylic paint turns into rubber if you need to clean it up or remove it.
With any paint it's best to clean it up or remove if you made a mistake within 24 hrs.
Q tips and warm, soapy water ( soap being a tad of dishwashing liquid ) seem to work for me for years.
A person put black series maul robe on figuarts. Fits pretty well. (Fwoosh/ Grimman)

Looks like they cut out the BS head which shouldn't have been too hard as I imagine the soft rubber, probably when heated up or dunked in warm water must've gotten really soft and with the right exacto knife shouldn't have been too hard
The only thing that seems off using the BS robe is the alignment of the top portion of the hood, because the BS head was sculpted to be permanently attached to the robe so the head had no horns
Now using the Figuarts head, the horns rub against the top part of the BS hood so it's hard to get the hood to layer over the head properly.

Yeah Darth Maul really is the highlight of the line right now. They did a great job on Luke, but really knocked Maul out of the park. I can deal with having to get a soft goods cloak (better that than plastic) to complete the Tatooine look.

Got my Maul today too. Amazing figure. Can't wait to pose him with Kenobi and some Battle Droids.
Only downside was that customs got hold of my item. £13 with 'handling fee'. Tax in this country really sucks balls.

Mine got caught this time too - £17 total. £8 of that was Royal Mail 'handling charge'.
Worth it tho and probably still cheaper than from a UK seller.
Edit: For clarity, there were two items in the box, hence higher tax charge

YES PLEASE! Those would be pretty awesome. I am hoping for some Super Battle Droids and General Grievous to complete the droid army.

Awesome, it came out pretty good, I'm liking the ragged look.
Managed to streamline mine a little bit, reduced the size of the hood and closed it and it's looking pretty good, I'll post pics later.
