Did anyone notice that the DT Specialist's gear is a part of the torso mold rather than a separate removeable piece. I know it may make for accurate scale but it's kind of disappointing. I like that you can create different looks with the mafex without buying different figures. The customizable quality always adds to the value imo. Was the heavy gunner FO gear molded to torso as well?

Question, gang: which online retailer has the best reward system and why? And how do I get them to go easy on me for customs?

I can only report on CD Japan, since I use them exclusively. They do offer 300 reward points for each shipped item (comes out to a little under $3), and they give 50 reward points if I take their satisfaction survey for each shipped item. When I pre-ordered Chewbacca, I was up to 1072 rewards points, which allowed me to knock about $9 off of the purchase price. And, they require pre-payment in advance, which I prefer, because I place orders when I know I have the funds available, not months later when the retailer decides to charge my card, and I have been spending too much on booze and prostitutes (joke).

I do not like the paint job of the regular death trooper it seems cheap i think but scarif and k2so is really nice.

Hello everyone. Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I recently got a Jedi Luke from ebay and his hair pieces don't match in colour. Is this a common thing or is anyone aware of there being bootlegs of this figure (it doesn't seem like one).

K2SO is awesome....he's one of the few modern characters which could fit original trilogy as a back ground character....in a death star type setting, droid or bounty hunter

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but I think CDJapan charges you if you use Paypal. But if you use a credit/debit card, they charge you when it ships.

It's a beautiful ombre lol. The color should be all gold like the front half. But I know a lot of people that would probably prefer the brown color. Curious, did this come with the box or was it one of the loose ones from eBay?

Is this a bootleg? You have to be cautious on getting loose Figuarts on ebay..chances are they are bootlegs

I think there are some retailers who buy or somehow get a hold of rejects (pieces that failed to meet Figuarts QC) and resell them and hope for the best.

I once paid $60 on eBay (US seller) for a Figuarts Mark VI which was new but one leg was snapped near the joint.

I offered to keep it in exchange for a partial refund ($30) and the seller agreed. I was able to glue it and now you can't tell the difference.

There basically can't be bootlegs (at least ones like that). If the 3d printing tech was readily available for action figures, people like Mafex would be using them.

Yeah I didn't think there were any Star Wars figuarts bootlegs; good point about the 3D printing being a reason. It was a loose one but the seller also had some boxed ones. I thought it odd he had several listings both boxed and loose but at £60/$76, it was cheapest I could get this figure for nowadays. I wonder if his other Lukes were defects too. I'm thinking of painting the rest of the hair brown. Any recommendation on the colour to look for (I assume acrylic paint is most suitable)?

Here's what they told me

When you place your order, credit authorization will be processed, and your bank will freeze the amount until the credit payment is finalized. Then when your order is shipped, the payment will be finalized, and the transaction will appear on the monthly billing statement for credit payments"

The lowest shipping is $6 to $9. I'm worried when it comes to buying from Japan. Has anybody had any trouble with CDJapan, as far as damaged packages or missing packages?
