I thought you guys would have loved Obi and jango, they look great, especially with a little modding. I know you might say we shouldn't have to modify expensive figures, but one look at any hot toys thread shows how much people enjoy it

Some enjoy it, not all. The Jango was alright until the Mafex Boba came out and really exposed how sort of "bleh" the figuarts Jango really was, and to be honest, that Obi Wan may have cut it prior to this series launching, but in terms of figuarts its currently looking like the least accurate headsculpt/print I've seen in this line, and unfortunately the body and the way they've done the articulation/ proportion doesn't exactly do it any favours either.

That being said, this is all just my opinion hahaha.

He has the same body as the highly praised episode 1 Kenobi though?

I personally love my Jango. He's not the strongest of the line, but still a fantastic figure. My main gripe is the lack of a headsculpt.

Oh whoops! Hahaha, for some reason I thought you meant the ANH Obi Wan. My bad lol.

Edit:

That being said, on the topic of diminishing returns in figuarts, that ANH Obi Wan does look a big step down.

Same. The early figures were mostly spot on - I hope this isn't a downward trend. If it is, I'll be committing Amiami account suicide.

This made me laugh :lol

Once I've cleared up my pre orders from ami ami im never ordering there again.

Lol!!! That's exactly what I had in mind as well. Their service is getting worse by the minute. Hobbylink Japan has excellent customer service but their insistance of paypal is driving me nuts.

While I am a little disappointed with AoTC Obi Wan's facial mold, especially compared to TPM Obi Wan, Mace, Tony Stark, Captain America and Black Widow, I also think they are up against the same thing that are with their Iron man. You've made incredible figures and gave us cool accessories, but now there's nothing left to offer so we tend to turn our nose up and go, "Oh, the same accessories as the TPM Obi Wan..." but really, what else could they give us?

Don't get me wrong, I understand the lackluster opinions of Wan/Fett but as a guy whose only access to his favorite characters were the Kenner 1:18 as a kid, I really appreciate this line. :)

I'm not 100% satisfied with Jango, but I admit it's a pretty nice figure with a lot of articulation and so many accesories to play with. I'm having a lot of fun with him.
I've ordered another one on the current CD Japan sale with the purpose of customize these shoulder pads... some ideas here? [emoji2]

Lol :D

Nin Nin seem a bit cheaper and have a better reward system. Just a shame we have to pay up front. Oh and they solve the customs problem ;)

Can you message Nin Nin any time before the ship date to have them "Take Care" of the customs work? I ordered little Annie, but left no instructions about customs.

Yeah just go into your order and leave a note :)

I feel committed to most my Ami Ami pre orders for rogue one, etc because I have a few storm troopers with them and nowhere else has them or more than one for sale.....and I really want them, as they're better than the previous ones and I think they'll fit in better than the model kit, which I enjoyed building but is too lightweight, a bit too tall and looks kind of lanky and awkward in some poses.

Cd japan marks items as gifts (no customs on gifts) and gives reward points but im not sure if the rp system is more or less then other japanese retailers. I've only used hlj, cd japan, and amiami of the 3 cd japan has the best reward points and lets me mark items as gift (hlj and amiami doesnt or if they do I haven't found that option) but CDjapan makes you pay in advance if u use paypal whereas the other 2 sites dont require prepay.

I'm actually one of the weirdos that prefers to pay in advance. I'd rather pay when I have the money vs forgetting one of my dozen or so POs at any given time and being hit with the cost. I totally get why some people don't dig it though. :)

Will Deathtrooper Speacialist be the web exclusive or regular release ? you guys have any information about it ?
