yea there's no way I believe that is what it will look like in the movie. It seems more like a marketing drawn render made for the toy box instead of a CGI model.

I do think the one linked father down the page is what we will get in the film.

I can't get over how bad the toys look. It not the designs that bother me (for most). It's the paint apps and color.

What were your thoughts?

I thought they looked really bad, especially next to those new 7" $19.99 build-a-zord Ranger figures. It seems like all the toys for the new movie have very dull colors.

I'm not a fan of Alpha 5's new eyes.

For me, it's just they look like that have no detail because there's no paint. They just molded it in colored plastic and you lose so much detail. I saw some custom painted ones that look amazing. It's like night and day.

It's mostly the quality. I don't like how washed-out the colors are, and how they look cheap. I think the new designs are alright though, I just like how simple the originals are, which seem to be easier for toy companies to make.

It'll be nice when we get some nicer alternatives to them, maybe some higher-quality 7" figures?

You and I are on the same page. The quality is crap. And I know it sounds outrageous, but these toy releasing are hurting this movie more than people realize. I'm a huge MMPR fan and a fan out what could be here, but even I won't touch these toys with a 10 foot pole.

You could buy the Legacy Megazord and Thunder Megazord and they're 10x the quality. Plus they have metal parts.

I've seen a few of those at my local TRUs. They're really cool, but I just don't have the room for them, and I'd rather use that money to get figures of the actual rangers. I especially liked the black & gold Zord I saw a while back.
