I think this is a case of what we see is what we get. Most variants don't come with EX features. I'm OK with that. This is an exceptional piece as is.

Is anyone getting this who has the original? I have the original Ex and don't think I can justify displaying both. Even though this new one is a better sculpt, minus the pyjamas I prefer the more modern version.

I normally complain when a sculpt is reused as it's a cheap way to get product out and it's a cop out to a company that promotes itself selling "limited edition high end collectibles".

That said, I'm a complete hypocrite when it comes to this piece. I have the original EX, but it's a perfect compliment to the new Wolverine (even though I have the yellow one) so I'll be getting Sabes classic.

I passed on the original because of the cloth used on the piece. I hated it. This variant is pure magic. It gets everything right.

I love the first PF Sabretooth as well!!
One of my first statues and it'll have a permanent place in my collection.

I think this version looks cool as well but the exposed toes just kills it for me....Why did they deviate from the classic design : (

Never claimed there was anything wrong with it. I just didn't like it. The cloth used on it just killed the piece for me personally.

ya i like everything about the new one. The full sculpt is much better imo, and also the exposed toes I really like. The coloring is better too, I like how the nails are white instead of brown, stand out a lot better. Also the base itself and the snow added to it will match brown wolverine alot better, Hoping they do an exclusive version like the wolverine tho, a couple head sculpts would be nice
