Thanks for the link. The problem isn't the strength of the magnet (head and right arm magnets are nice and strong). The problem is the molding of the piece... something is blocking the left arm from attaching completely onto the body.

I took a video: https://youtu.be/nGeUe1V5vqs

It still looks like a weak magnet problem to me. I've had statues where only one part had a weak magnet so having strong magnets for the head and right arm does not guarantee a strong magnet for the left arm. If not you can try something with earthquake putty.

It's not a weak magnet (wish there was a better way for me to show it). You can clearly feel that the peg and hole are not making a proper connection. Only a small portion is touching (seems to be the center of the peg), thereby leaving the arm to have space to wobble on one side or the other. As AC said, adding magnets would only distance the peg and socket even more, creating an even bigger visible gap.

SS scheduled a replacement hand without even a question on their part :) I did however reply to them asking what if the new hand has the same problem (ie the issue is with the arm peg from the body).

Huge bummer. The new arm fits (or more precisely, doesn't fit) exactly the same as the original, which means the problem is with the body, and I will have to send the whole thing back.... or at least the body :(

that sucks! but at least you can get a new one and hopefully it will be perfect :)

Good luck with getting a new body SD. Sorry to hear the new arm didn't work out.

Same here, SD ....hope you get this issue resolved. Sucks that the replacement arm didn't work out. Hopefully the replacement body does the trick.

Thanks! SS already told me that if the new arm didn't fix things, I'd need a full replacement. They just didn't clarify if that meant everything (heads, base, etc), or just the body.

Well, SS was kind enough to actually take the time to call me to discuss the issue. They basically said, that the piece they have there at SS has some wobble to the arms too, and based on that, they couldn't guarantee a replacement body would be any better. They asked if I had a concern about the arm actually falling off; and with the new arm, I said no, not at all. I told them the new one only wobble slightly in one direction, while the original was kind of all over the place.

Considering the fact that the piece itself looks great otherwise, and I don't plan to shake his hands hello very often :) I've decided to keep the original body with the new arm and call it a day.

Maybe you can grind the end of the magnet a hair and get a better fit. However, if you feel it's on securely enough, I'd just leave it as is.

I've had a couple days to think about this, and have decided to simply return the statue. I figured, if the piece wow'ed me enough, I would forget about the wobbly arms, but I haven't, not even for a minute  So back it goes...

Well, if the piece ain't doing it for you, this is the perfect opportunity to return it. I personally like this PF as much as I do my brown Wolvie PF. Those 2 will stay paired together in my collection for a loooong time to come.

That's just it, not sure I'll keep wolvie now. I really bought them as a set.

Do you have another account SD? I had a similar situation with my EX Lobo that I wanted sooooo bad. Too many problems so I had to return the whole thing and buy a regular. But if you really really want one you can just make a new account and order an EX all over again since they're still in stock. Maybe we're not supposed to do that cause it's against the rules or whatever but hey when Sideshow screws ya, gotta do what ya gotta do. Know what I mean?

I hear you. I truly believe these 2 PFs were meant to be displayed together. I'm looking at both of them on my shelf right now and can't imagine displaying one without the other.

I've just OCD'ed the crap out of this piece in my head, and totally picked it apart. I have no interest in it any more. Wolvie will likely follow suit...

Finally got him the setup is complete.
