I concur. It has all the elements to be a really entertaining film, if it can avoid the convoluted triteness of Alice in Wonderland...

That is exactly what I thought. Plus I really rate Franco as an actor.

when i first read this, i kept misreading that you hate franco and i was just about to ask why stupid mild dyslexia.

i think franco's awesome and he looks like he's made for this part. should be a fun movie. i like that the "real world" part of the movie is B&W and 4:3 and then it opens up to widescreen technicolor for oz. kinda like how 3D was reserved for the grid in tron legacy.

I haven't seen Alice in Wonderland yet, but this looks spectacular. Those sets are amazing. Not sure about the CGI creatures though...
