Saw this on the news early this morning, don't mind admitting it almost brought a tear to my eye. Amazing story that restores my faith in people. Really glad to hear he's in remission. Especially after the moronic and frankly disrespectful "kids gonna die" statement, which was blatantly a sad ploy to be "cool".

Hope the kid has a long and happy life with fond memories of an amazing day. He deserves it.

There was a interview with Bale for his new film in which th interviewer asks his thoughts about Bat-kid, he seemed quite touched by it. I do remember seeing a news report a while ago about an ill child who wanted to meet Batman and Bale flew over and went to meet him. Seemed like a really sweet thing to do.
