Lots needs to happen for these to work though and I don’t think HT will make the necessary changes. Just like these new T2s we will get the same old T1 stuff repackaged with a different sculpt, cheap pleather, and an undersized body.
Agreed. But even then, I’d still take a clean T1 Police Shootout T-800.
I don't see there being enough difference to warrant a clean T1 Police Shootout T-800. They'll likely just 2.0 the battle damaged version and possibly throw in a clean grey shirt instead. Just not enough difference in damage compared to what the T-800 had in T2.
Even the new clean T-800 2.0 from T2 won't accurately work for the Pescadero scene, He got bullet holes riddled through the back of his leather jacket in the mall early on.
If we do get a new T1 battle damage T-800 2.0, they won't give us a pleather jacket, it'll be genuine leather like the new T2 2.0's.

I’ve personally never been a fan of battle-damaged looks and that goes for any character.
Ideal Terminator shelf for me would be as follows:
Would I be tempted by T1 Kyle and Sarah if they were made? Sure. But I doubt they’ll see the light of day.
No real interest in having T2 Sarah or the T-1000.
Ideal Terminator shelf for me would be as follows:
- T1 Police Station Shootout T-800 (clean) with station backdrop dio and checkered floor base
- T1 Tech Noir T-800 with nightclub inspired diorama and base
- T2 Future War Endoskeleton w/ dual plasma rifles w/ base with skulls
- T2 Uncle Bob w/ Winchester shotgun and Harley Fatboy bike (ideally with John in the front)
- T2 Cyberdyne Uncle Bob w/ grenade bandolier and mini gun

I agree. Just don’t see them going down that path of anything else. Terminators are what sell, so make the Terminators. Easy cash no brainer.

The Tech Noir outfit never did anything for me, I need him in a leather biker jacket. The T1 boots are sick and somehow work with the khakis. I don't care for an endoskeleton myself or understood the appeal of owning a Kyle, John or Sarah, they all seem perfectly fine being left on screen but that's me.
