Ooh nice repaint on the dewback m8 and i love the extra saddle bags and the gun tied down like that, very cool :D

Thanks mate... Took me forever to get them posted. By the time I get home at night the lighting is crap and there's not a well lit place in my house otherwise.... The dewback isn't quite as green in hand, he almost looks neon in the pics :lol He was a lot of fun to paint! (as you know) can't wait for the orange sandtrooper to come out! :D

I do like how everyone has painted their dewbacks differently, mines brown with lighter brown drybrushing, and Dorgs is dark green etc. I'll post some pics with my new camera when i get and mod my sandies.

Great pics Flosi!

How are the bodies on those two? Any tighter than previous releases? I really hope Sideshow are ironing out those joints, it's the one thing that really bugs me with the current offerings.
As much as poor paint apps P**s me off, they can be touched up. But if you get a floppy trooper (Im ignoring your snigering at the back of the class Mr Snow & Mr Bob!) the only solution seems to be swap out the body, at great expense!
I'm hoping my two Sandies and two clones come in as tight as a gnats chuff! Otherwise I'll.... probably just moan about it and stick tape round their joints, like me Stormies - LOL

P.S. I can't believe this forum won't let me spell the word Snigering correctly with two "g's" It's political correctness gone mad!!!!

Medical tape, stretchy bandages and of course a Dragon foot stand for extra stability does me for poseable, beefier, stable stormies :rock

This thread has got me thinking. I know that can be scary:D

Anyways, as you guys know I am doing a Han Hoth custom. I now have the Tauntaun laying around and was wondering if anyone repainted one of them like the Dewbacks??

Just curious, I am thinking about doing one. Its not a bad sculpt or anything, the legs are just kind of jacked up.

icruise rescuplted one with the guts hanging out i think. repainted it. looked insane, he did a really good job on it.

Well, I use stands for all my figures, so there's not too much of an issue. But to answer your question the SS Sandie has a better, tighter body then the standard floppy Troopers. The issue is the weight of his pack. Even if you stand him up he will topple at some point... They're just too top heavy for the body. You're going to end up doctoring yours up m8.

As for the second one on the Dewback, he's just a bash. TT Slim... Helmet, shoulder pads, chest armor, upper leg armor, forearm armor and jump suit are all from a Marmit Stromtrooper who yellowed just a touch through the years. I didn't like the way he looked with the rest of my Stormtroopers so I decided to turn him into a Sandie. The feet, lower leg, upper arm, torso/ crotch armor and belt/pouches are all from a SS Sandie through Toy Anxiety... Very well could be parts from a parted out figure that you have parts from too, if you remember that conversation.... The pack and shoulder pad and Dewback proding pole are from Hasbro. :D he sits on top of my display cases now.... Love him!!!:banana

Sorry it took me so long to post pics everyone!

LOL I think between us we must share some Sandtrooper parts. I just received another two helmets and two Abdomine/Crotch armour sections from Toy Anxiety.

Yours are looking smart mate!
