A few questions about painting your Dewbacks, Guys.

Do you bother with a primer coat?
How do you get the lowlights in the creases of the skin?
Do you start with darkest colour first and get lighter or does it make no difference?

As you may have guessed, I've finally managed to get a dewback & saddle from eBay :banana

Humm tough one Daz. i think every body has their own technique.
But as for me....

Well I slapped a load of v dark green acrylic paint all over him, Not too thick. Then whilst he was drying I darkened up some areas with vv dark green and lightened other with yellow. Then left it to dry.
Then dry brushed it that way it keeps all the creases nice and dark

Hope that helps

I done pretty much what Dorgs done except i started with a very dark brown then went lighter, then he got a drybrush at the end.

I didn't have time to give anyone a heads up as i only saw it had a minute to go straight after i won the Dewback but i saw a boxed Speederbike & Luke go for £20 (+£15pp).

The bodies are definitely more stable, for a normal trooper they would be sweet but with the backpack on their unstable again :lol

Awesome pics as always Mr. Snow. I can't help but notice you still have my landspeeder though. No biggy. Keep it as long as you like:D I'm generous like that.

Inspirational as always sir.

How are you trimming the leg armour?

Itts a very hard plastic, are you just wearing it away with the Dremmel, judging it by eye? Or do mark it out then cut with a saw or something?

Just got a 10% discount code from eBay so might use it against some more true types!!

Great minds think alike. I just asked this same question in the chop shop thread. :D

A great photo and such a great pose too.

oh right well I looked a t a load of pics of stormies and measured the leg armour. Then marked the bottom of the shin armour and dremeled it down. For the thigh I marked the top. I also ground a little down where the armour meets at the knee. As so as I get chance I will do some pics in the chop shop..... May even try a video. Dg and I had a little play with that idea last week? Very amusing
