Great work!!!

I've got the first coat on mine (started with a forest green) but the paint litterally took days to dry!?! Not sure what the problem was, but the rubbery sections were still tacky after 3 days :huh

But, seems he's ready to go now with the rest of the work :rock

Look forward to seeing it mate, and did you wash the beast in warm soapy water first to get rid of the residue? lso becareful if the paint was tacky the next coats could start to crack or streak.

Hi Galactiboy, yes the paint did take a few days to dry. The underside was particularly sticky. But then i did lay it on really thick and undiluted.

Hi Ron, I was a bit naughty and didn't bother to wash him before painting but I reasoned that because he had never been out of his box it should be OK. I hope the paint doesn't start to crack :monkey2

Thanks for the info hemble... I didn't think to clean the dewback before hand :huh

But I'll be sure to coat him afterward. I definitely don't want any paint transferring to my Sandtrooper.

Daz...great paint job...find the green a bit glossy making it still looks like a toy...a matte coat should be better...my opinion only...hope SS do a dewback...

Gotta say, the dewback is pain to paint... so hard to get at the straps. And easy to mess up paint when trying to flip him around :lol

Got him mostly done... gonna try to finish him up tomorrow, or the next day.

Yeah, the large areas are no problem... but picking out the straps w/o getting too sloppy, and balancing the damn thing on my knee gets a little tricky :lol

This is where I'm at so far, still need to do all the details and add weathering.

SWEET! I like it in that color.. but I know it'll look much better with the finishing touches. Keep at it man!

Thanks, I appreciate it. Not sure if I'll complete him today, but I've gotten a bit more work done.

And here he is now... mostly finished. I'm gonna leave him as is for awhile and see if I feel the need to alter him further.
