I got my Dewback, now for some paint!

My wife was none too happy when she saw him.... "where the hell did you get that dinosaur.... and why?"

Anyway, I rencently put my standard Marmit ST armor on a Pro body, looks ok. I might try to turn him into a Sandtrooper for my Dewback. Sure, some of the armor isn't accurate, but no one I associate with would know that.

been tempted to get a dewback myself the problem is the repaint.....i suck:lol

Same here :D

It's not hard, really. Just some dry brushing over the top to bring out the detail. Perhaps some washes here and there....Hasbro really did a nice job on these and they're quite inexpensive. I got mine for 35 with a trooper, though I don't have much use for him but the prod/staff is nice. You two should give it a go! It's really a cheap item to practice on.

Guys I am more than happy to paint up your drewbacks, just send em to me, it would be an honour. LOL and I need the practice.

:)

LOL imaging a squad of five or six dewbacks...... HUmmm

BTW Flosi, by wife said the same thing... I am a lucky man! she puts up with a lot.:)

I really thought I pushed it to the limit with her. I threw the shoulder paldron from the Hasbro Sand Trooper on my Marmit ST and put him on the Dewback on top of my display cases. I was proud and looked forward to showing it to her, even though I had yet to repaint it. I thought it looked great... The look she gave me during my little presentation was enough for me to understand that she didn't quite share my enthusiasm. :lol

She didn't seem to mind so much when I told her the price, thankfully.

I had the vision of the look she gave you in my head just now and it made me laugh :lol

LOL I had a vision of you doing a grande presentation, with music and lights and maybe a warm up act before hand. Then a mighty drum roll. The lights go out.... a spot light hits the red curtains as the sweep back.. you leap in to the spot light and shout "Ta Da" all grinning and happy with you new dewback and dolly on center stage!!

And the mrs sits pop corn in one hand, coke in the other , mouth open, wide eyes... and says " WTF!!"

LOL

:rotfl:rotfl I was thinking more of a blank expression apart from 1 slightly raised eyebrow.

I get that often enough. Saturday morning for example... My son, 10 months old, has these "sensory balls" we bought him:

Anyway, Spurs beat Birmingham in stoppage time and I'm a Spurs supporter.... My wife and son were gone and I had four friends over to watch the game. This is the text I got afterward: "I can just picture you guys kicking around Gabriel's sensory balls! Behave!"... Anyway, I'm sure the look on her face as she was texting me looked quite similar to that of the "Dewback glare".

She knows me well..... :lol

Sorry for the slight thread derailment there.

OOOWwww sensory balls, are they like sweet and sour prawn balls?

p.s. threads that we start ALWAYS get derailed LOL.
