Santa Roll Call

Had a Santa coming over to my house, and then I was going to play Santa at that guy's house. But the kids are wiped out and we have to cancel that. Out of beer so Wild Turkey is going to be called in to service in about 30 mins.

ah yes, drunk christmas eve and then hungover all day christmas day with kids running around. now that brings back fond memories.

12:18 and I'm lit. I started with 7% pale ale, then smoked salmon, havarti, and egg nog with 12 year Dewar's. My sister is thankfully a fan of cheap champagne, so now I have four bottles of Ballatore to look forward to.

The 9-year old is asleep, and we have the responsibility of Santa duty from here to the end of the night. I want more egg nog.

OK...I'm getting a late start on the Turkey. We decided to do the santa thing anyway. It was fun. And it was nothing short of incredible seeing my own kids faces when they knew...they KNEW that the real Santa Clause had just walked through the front door. The Santa team threw oranges on the roof to simulate hoof-steps and my 5 year old was absolutely panicked that Santa would catch her awake and she was almost in tears wanting to get to bed. But when Santa actually walked through the door, the three of them were all nearly glowing with excitement.

My biggest regret is not having video'd the whole thing.

I bet I would have gotten the 100,000 dollars on America;s funniest home videos for the cute aspect of the video.

I had a similar encounter with Santa as a lad. Believe me, the memories will last longer and better than any video. Well done sir!

HA HA What a funny thread!

We stayed up until 3 AM putting together a drum set that had no instructions, practically. It was tough to put the kids to bed--they were so stoked about what kind of presents Santa would leave.

God I'm tired, but it was worth it.
