GG really seems to be pulling out the stops on this line it just keeps getting better. Not really sure how Saruman is but the busts at SDCC looked fairly big.

I dont think they are quite 1/4 scale but they are certainly big enough for a mini bust and dont look like say pencil tops LOL

Don't buy direct from GG. Save 15-20% by going to a retailer, like the one above your post

This one isn't on sale yet and the first batch (Aragorn and Ring Wraith) are selling out at most retailers so you may want to hurry and get those. I've also seen Gandalf and the Balrog selling out too.

I agree, it's the only bust from the line (so far) I want. Well, maybe animated Saruman as well.

You speak in the past tense, yet not a single one has shipped yet. There is still time to get on board with this line--there are only four announced so far and all of them will be available at a fair price if you get them when they begin to ship. So you still have a chance, but the opportunity won't last forever. Just look at Harry Potter or Sirius Black from the HP line. They kind of quietly dried up and are now hard to find. LOTR will be the same as the line takes off.

yeah, but that's the thing... I kinda have to cut back on the collection... I have a wedding in April, severe debt that has to be paid, and a move next year. Sadly, I can take no more on.

That's why I am selling my Jason stuff and focusing on a few lines, just have to do less....

I wish I could, really... It looks like a fantastic line and I will be even more upset as it moves along and gains momentum. Sadly, I cannot partake.

I'm thinking about with the GG stuff only getting the Fellowship in the animated and just a select few from the busts. That way I can concentrate more on the SS stuff.

I believe that the Saruman bust is one of the best things Gentle Giant has done. I hope that the final product looks as good as the prototype.

GG busts at least what've seen at SDCC from the LOTR line look great. They have such a life like feel to them IMO.
