You either add extra padding like @Asta did or you sew the main seam tighter like I did. No one else has done any other mods to fix the underoos that I know of.

I sewed my Batman trunks on the sides too. I'm still thinking of adding just a little more paunch to Batman, but not doing any more mods until we get through more of the TV series. Watched the movie last night and was highly entertained all the way through.

A thin black suit:

And a thick padded leotard that extends to the groin:

I've used the under suit from one of the faulty Sideshow X-Wing Luke's I had to destroy, because the fully padded Hot Toys Boba Fett suit I originally had in mind would be too thick:

With the gap at the hips filled and slightly thicker thighs, the trunks aren't so loose:

Putting cotton wool into the butt of the trunks absorbed the last of the excess material:

The belt fastens, but is at its comfortable limit. Any more padding and it'd probably spring open.

I had some overdue property tax I had to pay so what I did was sold the Hot Toys pair at market price, used the funds to pay off my taxes and pre-ordered this. Because that's what Batman would do. If he were broke.

Without all the surgery, I'm going to try tucking a cotton ball or two in his shorts at the back to take up the space. No one will ever see this under the cape.
