Me either. I like this line. I want to go back and get the ML and get Sauron but right now just isn't a good time especially when Sauron hits at $380.

Will there ever be a good time to pay $380 for a bust? This is more money than SS has ever charged for a statue or bust. Not quite sure what they were thinking on this one. Might be a pretty good deal if they set the ES at 15.

Sure there are times when $380 isn't that bad but there is still a lot to come over the next few months so the price isn't a good one for me right now. That's not to stay I won't try and get one later on.

I too think the neck looks thin. Is it possibly because of the lack of a cape
draped around the shoulders? If the cape were added it seems like that would
fill in the empty space and make it look thicker in the neck area.

Dunno about this, but I'd kill for a great looking Legendary Scale Balrog Bust.

YES a Balrog Bust would be great, but I would say there will be killings for it even with a high ES!!!:rotfl
BUT if it looked good then I would pay $380 for it, but not for a Turkey Sauron!!:lol

Prefer my Weta Sauron more. I get more for my buck than this bust.

Hard to disagree with that statement. An awesome statue and for alot less money.

You get his legs too ... even if they also appear a bit skinny. :D

This pic isn't enough for me to really tell if the neck is too skinny. It might appear skinny to me due to the way the pic was taken.

I also feel that he will look better with a chest area like most busts. The way they made this piece, it looks to me like it is just a head/helmet with the shoulder plate/armour. It's not even a shoulder as there is a space under the armour. More like Sauron Armour bust.

Yep, I'd rather have United Cutlery's Sauron Helm that can be had for about $250.

Had the UC Sauron helm...wasn't impressed. Since the Sauron bust won't be selling anywhere close to retail once it's released, I think it's a much better choice.

The more I look at Sauron, the more I dislike it. It's not just his neck that seems small, but his body/chest plate as well. I am trying to imagine what he would look like with a full body of armor. He must be on the Nicole Richie diet or something.

I actually really like it, It's a bit pricey but holding out for a small edition size.

I may just pick up the statue though

got it on order though

I think that's what's bothering me about it too. Not to mention I hate the 6" name base.

I have to believe it will look much better in person, just like the ML. If it does end up being a "turkey" then what does that say about our SS ToyFair offerings....a turkey-necked sauron and a diorama more suitable in the next boxed edition DVD:eek:
