How would you display Sauron PF mostly?

  • Arm lowered & would hate a switch out option

Hey guys, came across this WIP of Sauron PF. Just wondering how many would display it with hand raised and lowered. Also please add any additional things you would like to see in the PF and comments below.

Cheers.

This is just a cheesy PS but just so you get a very rough idea from the WIPs.

It's still too early to know what, if any, excl. will be offered with Sauron, but if it is a raised right arm I prefer the arm lowered, although it's always good to have alternate options available. :lecture

Very true, alternatives are always good woodsy. Since I presume they are going to make just one Sauron PF in the forseeable future, having different options would be nice and you could even get 2 and display them differently. :rock

Exactly. I'm a huge proponent of alternative display options and if this PF features another display option I will be more than happy.....as long as it somewhat alters the appearance. I am still quite disappointed with the Mordor Orc excl. as two head portraits so similar in nature just seem like a waste to me. I think we also have to keep in mind that Jerry's artwork will "officially" be the excl. though that does not mean both the excl. and reg. edition won't feature a switch-out arm or something of that nature.

I like the idea of the switch out hand, and given the rest of the pose, the other arm could hold the dagger (or whatever it is) in the screencap from the FOTR prologue. Best of both worlds. That being said, given the price, I will try to get the regular at whatever discount I can to save a few bucks.

Great idea Seaward. Wonder what the Ex will be.

There are a two possible options:

1) Lowered hand & alternate raised hand with the sideshow weta pose.

2) Switch out weapon hand...Sword of Sauron.

Hmmm...the I don't give a ____ and want this tomorrow option isn't there....

Sauron never has a sword in the movie. He has a mace.

The sword is not a well known fact in lotr fandom.

There are photos suggesting Weta actually made a sword and there were test shots of an actor dressed in sauron's armor wielding the sword(see picture below).

United Cutlery (maker of lotr replica props) were also planning to release a Sauron sword, so it is quite unlikely that it is a fan hoax/groundless rumour.

What is unclear is whether this sword was meant to be used in the Aragorn v Sauron fight scene or whether it was actually replaced by the mace.

Just don't make the EX a damn print.......:lecture

It may not be the Ex but it will be part of it.

I don't get the hate on prints as Ex. Do people that feel this way not collect them at all? If so they're missing out one some cool stuff from all this that we like.
