Before confirming your BIN, ebay will explicitly tell you the amount that you would save. After the BIN, expect in a couple of minutes, a message in your 'My Messages' with a link to the cashback registration form. After that, your 'Pending' cash in your Live.com account won't be posted until a day or so - it may take upto 7 days.

I think you can use other Microsoft logins too though but a hotmail account will work but you really don't have to use the email account, other than entering the password at the Live login screen. good luck!
