Beads would be cool! You should try it.

I'm going to remake Marcus. He doesn't look enough like the Conspiracy drawing for my liking.

And I'm going to redo Zandars muzzle.

the squinty-eyed version is because of the sun from the Forbidden Zone!! Plus...that's what he had from my screen reference. LOL!!

And the big eyes are because he's been taxidermied...

Bought the perfect beads. not sure if I should dig out the eyes...or make a mold and waste my mold making materials.

Oh, I see now! Your good to go on both sculpts then! Kudos :thud:

Decided to change his beard texture because he was looking like Obi Wan Kenobi. Anyway...still a lot more work to go to get him decent. So tempted to carve out his eyes and insert beads in there....but afraid to in case it makes it worse and then I can't get him to look right at all.

Hi Jess I think they look really good. Can't wait to see the final pics.

My inner sleeve experiment was a success! Thanks for the material, Kent. Can't wait to use it for my Good Seed chimp project.

Also, painted up Kenya's mouth a bit and added some choppers. Repainted her eyes from blue to brown as well.

Does this Lieutenant Pello Scrumbas from Star Wars look as little like the guy from "The Trap" episode of TV version Planet of the Apes? One is balding and the other has a full head of hair though!

Hi Jess (LOL) back atcha!:pfft:

Hey Michael! This is a nice looking 1:6 scale wagon! Add a wooden box section and throw in some Hay (Wolah)!

That is epic. How much are they asking
Oh and Jess, do you have more of that material? I might need more since I'm undersleeving 5 chimps. :)

Michael, check your PM here! I have the link for you!

Kfog--forgot to say that YEAH!! that guy looks like the lietenant! It would be better though if his eyes were painted to look in the same direction.

Do you guys know what size beads work well for 1:6 scale eyes? I thought some sculptors were using paint pellets for pellet guns, and when i went to the sporting goods store to take a look at the pellets were a little smaller than 6mm....like 5.90 mm...something like that.

I have used bee-bee's several times(the copper ones)with some degree of success. Acrylic spheres are available in a variety of sizes, from tiny to ridiculous.Just do a Google search. Was this any help?...PS

That's great Paul. I found beads slightly smaller than 6 mm...I'm sure they are 4mm. I've dug out his eye sockets, inserted them...and resculpted...but now looking at it I need to move the eyes farther apart from each other...and resculpt. i guess whatever it takes to make him look good.
