Well, the two of you together are stronger than any force I know. You have so many cool props. How is your "Lady Liberty" Coming? We need to get you back into the groove. What can we do for you brother? I wish I had some spare parts I could send your way to get you banging out that magic you create so well. Hopefully she'll be on soon.
Holy crieky. What did I miss??? I am back.
My goal this weekend is to finish adding additional hair to the lace beards that I purchased. If I had time, I would seriously weave the hair in myself.
But guess what I encountered today? Punching hair!! It's so meticulously fiendishly crazy!!! I have a plan!!! But....it will have to wait until after Wondercon...and recreate my own hair pieces for Zira's costume.
Should I drive myself to San Francisco in ape gear? What if I get pulled over?

Roddy would!!! Of course, only if it doesn't interfer with your safety, and the safety of others. After seeing America's Criminals on T.V you'd be the least of an officer's worries. They show naked people getting pulled over. What the????
Do you plan on trying the costume fully geared before you go, or will it be a last moment thing? Anyways we're all here, and are all very anxious to see you all Aped Out!!

I can drive in full ape gear. I'll just wear contacts. I HAVE to gear up before venturing out. I don't know how many hours it will take to get my ape on. I am hoping three, if I prep everything the night before. And, I will be doing everything myself....so it's just sheer will and determination I'm getting geared up.
If I finish the hair pieces this weekend, I can concentrate on painting up Zira's appliances next weekend. I still have to sew down the fake leather of Zira's collar onto the green jacket. So many things to do....so little time!!

You aren't going to believe this STICKS, but those shoes you're asking about also come with that same GI JOE figure. If you buy him, he has damn near everything you'll need. The only extras I had to buy were that club and a t-shirt that I dyed black.
And, I am actually knee deep in the middle of recreating ANOTHER Zira Escape outfit for another citizen of Central City. I only have the skirt and vest to do. The hardest part, the jacket, was completed by me last weekend. This time I made working frogs. I barely tweaked Zira's swing jacket from the same wool jacket I bought at Goodwill, the same material on Angel's Escape outfit.
Angel, you have not sweated your ape paws away for nothing. You are a true artist and have shared your sweat and tears with all of us. That's why this thread still persists.

Mustering up that Umph to work on projects has gotten to be really hard for me the past 3-4 months. I've slowed down to a snails pace.
