I am usually one of the more critical board members, but I don't see anything wrong with the sculpt or pose.
Everyone is tired of the lackluster A or X base, but other than that, this statue looks great. I do agree that the Brooks Scarlet Witch is a more 'interesting' sculpt and Wanda's facial sculpt does appear to be wider than some of the other female sculpts, but I don't think it looks ugly or bad.
My one question is...WHERE is Jean Grey Phoenix 1/4th?

Ummm. No. I am not seeing any resemblance at all. In the initial pictures they showed of Storm, she looked like a guppy fish. Storm's sculpt is one of my least favorites, but the later pictures of Storm's profile were improved; especially the EX.

Which is essentially the same as my initial post in this thread. Hypocrisy is a beautiful thing. It would have been interesting had the sculptor of that piece jumped into that thread and called you a name. I would have liked to see if fawning members would be personally attacking you.

Yes, I did say that, and for the record, it was not Mark Newman's Storm PF. It was the Kotobukiya Storm bishoujo statue. And if anyone disagreed with my opinion of that bishoujo, then that is fine. I have no problem with people disagreeing with me. I guess I don't understand why you keep going back to "being attacked." Who attacked you?

You appear to have a short memory over what you post. "you still don't have anything valid or constructive to say. Shocker. " is a personal attack.
Anyhow, it's evident that there was some immediate fawning as soon as Mark posted. It's almost as if they believed they would get some favor or discount from SSC by attacking me. No one jumped you for saying the same for another piece. Not even the mods.

I think that a lot of posters could benefit from being a little more tactful with their criticisms personally, but I also think it was kind of unprofessional for the artist to resort to derogatory name calling as well. I think we should just move on. If you like it, that's awesome. If you don't, that's great too. It's just a statue after all.

I hadn't even really been a part of this thread until this evening, other than posting earlier that I love her and ordered the EX.
And you are right, my comment on the Kotobukiya Storm bishoujo was very harsh, and not very constructive. However, my opinion on that piece has not changed, I still cannot stand it.

We all have our own personal preferences, so the conclusion is that Sideshow will never be able to fully please us all. The sooner you accept that there will never be "perfect" items, the better for your enjoyment of this hobby.

Well I have Storm EX on order. So you would think I like this. I just couldn't pull the trigger. Not with the DC line right around the corner. I just can't get behind this. I guess Storm with the white eyeballs doesnt look that bad. But Wanda reminds me of a lizard woman. Like something from that old TV show V. I guess Hawkeye will have to roll solo until I can get a Ms Marvel cheap

Yes I agree don't forget the shipping, tax, etc it will be closer to 400 for all PF now. She's ok but no wow factor. An extra head would have been alot nicer for the ex. The pose is so so more like a Bowen. But overall I still want her because of the PF 1/4 scale. She will fit nicely with my other marvels. Still buying her, even though she's not great. But not bad enough for me to skip this either.
