Well I have Storm EX on order. So you would think I like this. I just couldn't pull the trigger. Not with the DC line right around the corner. I just can't get behind this. I guess Storm with the white eyeballs doesnt look that bad. But Wanda reminds me of a lizard woman. Like something from that old TV show V. I guess Hawkeye will have to roll solo until I can get a Ms Marvel cheap

Lol I kind of agree with you on storm too. I did order storm only because of the ex head. If there was no extra head with the white eyes then it's a sure pass for me. That extra head makes storm for me. btw ms marvel is amazing! She is a must have for a marvel PF collection.

The sculpt is amazing as is the coloring but the pose feels a little boring. I really would like to see larger pics and a 360 degree view of the statue before I consider picking scarlet up. Also the sculpter did a wonderful job! I don't think they are the ones that choose the pose. I'm guessing that Marvel and sideshow higher ups do that. Maybe someone knows more on the process for that.

Yes I agree don't forget the shipping, tax, etc it will be closer to 400 for all PF now. She's ok but no wow factor. An extra head would have been alot nicer for the ex. The pose is so so more like a Bowen. But overall I still want her because of the PF 1/4 scale. She will fit nicely with my other marvels. Still buying her, even though she's not great. But not bad enough for me to skip this either.

I recommend that your retailer toss the statue in a blender and turn it into powder for cheaper shipping.

How was I out line? I didn't make any attacks on any members. I stated an opinion that I think this piece looks terrible. Am I supposed to blindly love everthing Sideshow produces? Please. It's evident the focus is now the DC statues. The Marvel ones seem to be getting the B level treatment.

Expecting us to pay $350 for something that is subpar is infuriating and I have a right to feel that way. Nothing childish about that.

Personally, I don't think you where out of line. You stated your dislike, nothing more. I don't see why Snadinator is getting treated differently than other 'seasonal' members that criticize all the time with much more harsher comments. I do believe there is a bias towards newer members.

Im in the same boat, looking for a cheaper price for Ms. Marvel.

She is expensive and I have the Mark Brooks version, but for $350+ she is just going to have to wait. I might have pulled the trigger if the EX was better.

I'm guessing you're right. I'm guessing that there are art directors who have drawings done of the pose, and the winning pose gets selected via Sideshow and Marvel (or whoever) higher ups. Once the final design is selected, it's sent to the sculptor for the work to begin. I'm just making an educated guess on this, though, I don't have any insidie information.

I think it is the artist's personal style with sculpting faces as both the Storm PF and the Vampirella PF have the same characteristics in their faces. Much like many people do not like Tony C's faces (teeth), this type of sculpt does not appeal to me.

So let's all agree to disagree on this issue and try and move forward. Overall, these Comic-Con previews have been much more "hit" than "miss" and I am looking forward to see what else Sideshow reveals over the next few weeks.

I'm not into the character enough to buy it but I actually dig the face. She's not your standard supermodel generic face. I think Storm has the same vibe going on and I like it. Storm is a must order for me but this just isn't. I suppose for a character like Scarlet Witch, they shoulda just gone with a supermodel look so that it would appeal to more people. Artists such as myself will probably appreciate the way it looks a bit more due to its unique flavor.

Scarlet Witch has, like every character, been drawn very differently by different artists over the years. But I would have liked the circa 2000 Perez style to have influenced this sculpt a bit more.
