At the very least I want an apology. I will make it my forum signature as a warning to all.

I hardly ever buy from Sideshow. The price is always highest (except for the good deal on the muscle bodies!). But for exclusives you get stuck. Now, this! Plus, they practically ship the figure loose.

If you are gonna pay the most you should get the best! They are hardly it!

How exactly is it Sideshow's responsibility if HT does not include something in a figure? And the shipping box is provided by HT... funny how all your finger pointing at Sideshow are really issues with HT.

I will agree they should have been careful with their description... most likely it was just a cut and paste from the IM IV; but HT decides what goes into the figures not Sideshow and they set the price :huh

But please, do protect all of us from Sideshow's evil ways :panic:

I'll give SSC a chance before making any judgements, but you're right about the shipping - it's very poor to say the least. One would think a top notch company that specializes in high end collectibles would go the extra mile on packaging/shipping, instead of raking their customer base over the coals for extra money on a pack out.

They have horrible shipping practices. For a big company they can't do the simple things right. Smaller companies give you your choice of shipping and pack it right to protect the product. But, I order from them mainly because for exclusives you are forced to.

I know my local supermaket does not grow the fruits and vegetables I buy. If there is something wrong with my produce I will go back to the place I purchased it, not the farm. Don't be naive.

How the ____ is Sideshow responsible when the boxes come sealed in their shippers from HotToys? :dunno

Sideshow has the prodcut decription on their site. I understand if they don't open every box. But, the description doesn't match the product so they need to fix it.

With your thinking I should find the people who produced the plastic and go bother them.

If you don't have this product, don't comment.

You have the option to ask for additional shipping protection; you have to pay for it... but its done for those who want it. 95% of my packages from Sideshow arrive w/no damage; and if one is you can request a replacement. Personally I like not getting gouged on shipping :Huh

And while you will get your money back (if that is what you want) at the grocery store won't be able to include the "free toy prize" missing out of your box of Wheaties :lol

How is Best Buy responsible for LCD TV's when the boxes come sealed in their shippers from LG/Sony/Panasonic/etc?

How the hell is Wal Mart responsible for the fat lazy people who drive the Wally World golf carts and mow me over when I'm trying to buy real doughnuts? :dunno

A missing accessory that should is standard with an item is one thing, but my understanding is that no Secret Project IM (sold through Sideshow or otherwise) came with the box of donuts. The only company that could rectify this is HT since they are the ones who made that call.

I will agree with you on the Wheaties.

But these donuts are more important. It's like Lucky Charms with no Mashmallows.

Shipping is fine to me. The figure is shipped in, get this, a shipper box! In the 8 or so years I've ordered direct from SS I've had 2 product boxes that were damaged and SS replaced both of them with no issue.

And to be clear if I can get a box of donuts for my figure I'll be pleased as punch, I just don't think its Sideshow's fault on this one.

But, it was there bad on the Hammerhead figure. Kind of bummed I never got around to asking for my glass on that one :lol

Perhaps. But the bottom line is that SSC is the retailer and SSC is taking my money for this product, the customer goes to the retailer for purchase issues we don't normally bypass them and go directly to the manufacturer. Right?

Fantastic story. I never said SSC had poor CS, in fact, I have praised them for the CS. If shipping in the brown shipper box with a piece of tissue paper wrapped around the HT box, plus charging the most for it, is what you consider "good packing/shipping" than I don't know what to tell you.

Return it then. Like the TV scenario that people are posting, if all of a particular model of TV is missing the remotes. They are not going to just produce a remote to give you. Best Buy will have you return the time and give your money back or have you select another item.

The items arrives fine, what is there to whine about? What if's?

Whatever, freak.

Actually, the retailer will produce the remote for you provided you have a receipt for proof of payment. :rotfl

Nobody here is whining about the item or it's condition. Perhaps, you should re-read the thread b/c you forgot what it's about.

It's common to send complaints to the person/people who sold you the goods. No matter where the blame for the fault lies. In this case it's SSC who are the sellers.

BTW, still the coolest thread on here :D

Edit: This comment was for the people that were saying to go straight to Hot Toys :D The thread moved a bit while I was typing :lol
