10 clips posted by AICN: Meet Marcus, see the 600 in action, meet young Kyle Reese, find out what the resistance knows, see how good an infiltration unit is at his job?, see Marcus fight a 'Termigator' in the water, see John argue with the current resistance leader, see John and Kyle in the machine factory.

This looks pretty good so far. My first impression of the 600 though is that it is too human in its movements. It is supposed to be less human than the 800 and huge, but it moves like a regular guy. Doesn't feel right to me. It clearly suffers from guy in a suit syndrome. It's like watching Godzilla with a gun. What do you think?

Really cool!!

Yeah i've gottta agree about the way the T600 moves, it's not how i imagined it at all. You'd think with it being so big and an earlier model to the T800 that it would move in a far slower and mechanical way.

Not impressed so far. I better wait to watch the movie in whole before I totally see my expectations destroyed by watching bits and pieces of it on the internet...

Wasn't that "lame guy in a suit" actually motion capture?

Seems like the way they would do it today, but it looks to me like it was an actual guy in a suit with a bit of CG to erase evidence of costumery. I always figured the reason why it was made so big was so it could hide a person inside. That clip looks too real (not CG) to be motion capture. Motion capture would have allowed the guy to move better without the weight of the suit, thus making it look more machine-like.

I am curious to know exactly what technique they used to get that wrong if I'm not right.

Why are they showing so much!? :monkey4

3 trailers, a 4 minute clip, tons of ads, now these 10... a termigator? :lol They're showing everything. And that's NOT a good sign. It tells me more and more that this films must suck. Why not just have some damn screenings to start building hype? When you have a good movie, that's what you do. Not show every 'goodie' you got in the film before it opens.

I wanted this to be so good... :(

I haven't and won't watch them. I agree though its too much. :monkey4

Wor-Gar has a point. Too much too soon usually means there isn't much else. I am surprised by the amount of stuff these clips show. It gives me a soewhat different feel for the movie than I had before, but I'm not disappointed with that yet.

I still have naive hope that this will be my favorite film this summer... but going by previous experience over many years of watching movie promotions, generally when they show so much up front, the movie itself is no damn good.

I mean, how much more can they be holding back for the theater experience?

I always love how Terminators are so lethally accurate until a main character shows up, then they have all the aiming ability of a near sighted Cobra Trooper.

Nah, Dark Knight did the exact same thing and that wasn't a flop.

yeah just like the alien and predator movies right.. and we all know how much they sucked :rolleyes: it is a guy in a suit (behind the scenes photo shows it) but to be honest im glad its not a complete CGI gangbang cause that always feels like a lazy copout. i think it looks great.

can some of you stop being such negative nancys aswell cause its depressing. if you go and watch this film thinking its gonna suck, it probably will. im just going with an open mind, i know it wont be anything like t1 and t2 so im not even gonna compare them, just look at it as a new beginning yeah.

I didn't even think about how it was moving to be honest.
I'm glad things like that don't tend to bother me otherwise it would alwasy ruin movies for me. I actually like the way it moves its strange since it looks so heavy but it can move fast.
Then again , the fact that T-800 walks slowly and robotic without human skin it seems strange the 600 would move so human like 2 models behind.
Either way I think it looks pretty awesome anyway.

Well there's a bit of a difference there. Both the Predator and Aliens are organic beings so they work fine with someone in a suit, but everything we've seen of the T800 in the first 3 movies shows that they move in a very 'mechanical' robotic way. The T600 is supposed to be an earlier design than the T800 so it doesn't make sense that they would have far more organic motion to them.

you kinda missed my point there. i meant that they were still able to pull off a good representation of the monster even though it was obviously a man in a suit. but anyway it looks pretty robotic to me :dunno
