Vicious, it got into debate on OSW as to wether serang made the head from scratch or reworked the longbow sculpt. In short, serang said he didnt want to see any more arguing about it (I assume due to certain comments), and decided on not offering any sales of his sculpt.

What a shame!!! I was following that argument on osw how pathetic!!! Cant believe they have spoilt it for the rest of us!!! If you are reading this Serang please offer your Cpt Miller for sale!!!

yeah i thought that was pretty ridiculous. picture comparison from osw looks pretty different to me. if you compare everything from the hair all the way down to the eyes and nose, etc. the longbow version looks almost like a caricature while serangs is super realistic. serang if you're reading this please offer us your work! your head is the best hanks by far!!!

There seems to be a big difference between the two heads indeed, and I must agree Serang's Miller looks much much better!

I was so damn mad at Longbow for the crap they pulled in that thread. They are pathetic. Their Tom Hanks head is too small. Ada Chan small, and pretty much useless. So someone comes along with a beautiful, useable Hanks sculpt and they succeeded in killing it. I could give a crap less if he started with their sculpt. He turned their bloated, useless sculpt into a work of art, so much so that it IS a completely different sculpt by the time Serang got done with it. Longbow keeps blowing smoke about doing a new Hanks sculpt. Fat-Hanks part 2, I guess. Should go great with their Alfred E. Neuman looking Daniel Craig sculpt, and their Matt Damon taking a crap in his pants sculpt.

I emailed Serang begging him to change his mind and offer it. He said he may do a second version and offer it later. I suggest anyone who wants one, email Zuno at www.e-ureka.com and tell him to pass your wishes along to Serang. There is a slight language barrier, but Zuno can help with that.

Bummer, its a great looking sculpt. To me I see enough difference/improvement that I wouldn't consider it to be a reworked longbow. Asking for someone to provide in-progess would be fine if everyone took pictures along the way. Some sculptors seem to do that, others don't so him not posting WIP doesn't really prove anything.

Oh well, hopefully he'll reconsider releasing the sculpt as it really is great.

so did anyone ever find out if it was a "re-worked" longbow sculpt or not? not to open old wounds or anything, because to me they look completely different. I just really wanted to see that guy eat his words.
