For anyone who owns this, can you please help me answer this question?

Can the ship swivel to one side or the other on top of the base or does it have to be positioned length-wise over the base like I see in every picture of this replica (including the pictures in this thread)?

The stand has a cradle type thing that fits specifically to the bottom of the ship, it's not adjustable.
