So what is the formula for their outfits and gear ?? anyone want to share their knowledge on what they're usin ??

This is what I did, my advice came from Mooncat, roll my blues and tys over at OSW.

Black shirts, OD pants and boots (at some point I plan on upgrading the boots to something nicer) are from the DST12" figures. I used the BBI G8 jackets that match the WEPs on the show.

I did want to use the Playhouse Omega Tactical vests, but they are rare and very hard to find. I think this is what I used that I settled for a close enough,

For the drop holsters I think I just had to search on ebay for those, it wasn't a set kind I used, I know they don't all match if you look closely at my figures.

I bought a boonie cap for Daniel, a BDU cap for Sam, and a black hat for Jack all through ebay.

M9 bayonets I got through Monkey Depot,

Black Canteens are from a Dragon figure I think, and I rarely see them on ebay anymore. I only found two and then I found these at Monkey Depot,

I painted them black, so they all match.

The P-90s are this,

The staff weapon you can get from Lonnie.

I am sure I am forgetting some items, others will chime in I'm sure.

Wow, all you've gotta do is stick a mullet on the Jack sculpt there and you can sell it as MacGyver.

while the rest of the outfit is great, I really need a good pair of green bdu pants for them. Just not sure of which ones to use

The Dragon Vietnam OD bdu pants that came on the Nick and Russell figures are probably the most screen accurate. They are a little small on HT TT bodies and are hard to find loose.

Personally, I'm using Dragon Vietnam pants from the Mike Kirby figure for the guys and Armoury Givati Recon pants for Carter. Not as screen accurate, but I just liked the color and detail better on the Kirby pants than most of the other OD pants I have seen. They also fit the HT TT bodies a little better in terms of length IMO. They are a little big around the waist, but I just put a belt on them. They also tend to be a lot cheaper than Ace, TS, and HT pants while still being really nice in quality. More importantly, you can still find them loose if you look around at some of the online shops.

The Armoury pants are much slimmer and fit femfigs better, but the quality is not quite as nice as the Dragon pants. I might alter another pair of the Kirby pants for Carter later on to match the other figures or try to find one of the smaller pairs of Dragon OD pants for her.

They look awesome. Great job painting the sculpts. I especially like the shading on Teal'c face and Carter's hair. Did you use chalk pastels or just acrylics to paint them?

I use acrylics for the base color, the shadows and the highlights of the skin. Then I go over it with a few shades of watercolor paint. I wait 12 hours for it to throughly fade and dry then adjust it till it looks more like skin tones, then gently dry brush a flat clear overcoat to keep the colors from fading or coming off when touched or near water.

Very interesting. I haven't tried watercolors before, but the skin tones on your sculpts look so nice. I might have to give the idea a try one of these days. I'm still in the process of learning and experimenting when it comes to painting. :)

Bump to the top....Big thanks to you Scifi67. Received my set of SG-1 heads yesterday. I am nearing the completion of my SG-1 team finally, it's been a long process. The sculpts look fantastic! Anyone on the fence should order these, they look wonderful in person.
