I am saving all of these to my hard drive so I have source material for the custom repaint I will likely have to do. If the sculpt is there it is worthy of decent paint like this.

My biggest fear with this statue is that the factory will use decals for all the stripes. Before I returned my Neytiri LSF, I was displeased with the decals. For what Sideshow is charging, these statues should be hand and airbrush painted. They can use stencils to spray the stripes.

I didn't know they used decals... on an LSF! Damn, that is weak.

And they dare to label that line "Legendary". That's just @$$.

i WISH they used decal instead of the horrible paint by min wage chinese workers for some of the more intricate parts in the past.

Dont really care if it's decal or paint as long as the quality is good and the decal is high quality that doesnt ruboff or gets damaged easily.

The more I look at these pics the more I think these must be decals. The way the white striping fades at the edges... decals all the way. And maybe this is for the best.

As long as the end result is a fantastic looking statue, Sideshow can use whatever they want as far as I'm concerned.

My Neytiri polystone statue has decals and it looks awesome, IMO, and that's all that matters.

Right it depends on how the decals are used and why. Rivendell and Dwalin both use them for Weta and the restults are pretty darn good. Sometimes things are too much of a pain to paint.
