Got Ed today and while the sculpt is nice this figure is pretty weak. I'm not sure I'd give this figure when I review it this weekend more than a 5/10 right now.

I got mine as well - and the sculpts and paint are much better than I anticipated. That being said, I'm going to slam it hard on the outfits. They are far below the level we've come to expect. My review will be up tomorrow night.

YOWZAAAA...:horror

You're a hata Josh, that's all I'm sayin'...:naughty

Holy Flock. Josh talking ^^^^ about an SSC product. The ground is freezing...

I got mine yesterday as well... they certainly aren't Sideshow's A-game, but overall are still decent figures. I wasn't expecting greatness (and didn't get it) but I'm still not too let down and they'll still look great surrounded by zombies!

Shaun is a nice figure actually. The pockets are a touch too big but the rest is solid. Ed just isn't. He's like I said a 5/10 overall figure.

Ed's outift is a little disapointing, but those shorts he wears are weird to begin with, so I'm sure that just didn't translate well. I think his fat suit turned out pretty well though.

Shaun is much better. I don't have any really issues with him except his tie wants to curve up like Dillbert's and the pants are a bit long, as I said, probably because he is on a short body and they were made for a regular body.

The complete set doesn't fit on one shelf! I've got the originals all on one, and then the variants on the shelf just below, along with the ornament custom zombie.

But here are Shaun and Ed with the originals shelf (with flash)

I'd love to see some pics around some zombies! I'm still on the fence with these guys.

Just needed to look a few pages back ;)

I went about three pages back, didn't think I should go any further as I thought these guys just shipped. Sorry about that:rotfl

No problem. I'll take a few more tomorrow when the Babysitter ships. That way we'll have some action shots of the full Dead collection.

Ed's pants definitely didn't translate well. Mine keep wanting to fall down below his crotch. :lol

I actually think Ed's clothing and fat suit turned out good... its the T-shirt that is the problem. The cut is just too big and it doesn't look right in any position, also the turtleneck (why always the turtleneck) doesn't help. But the pants look right to me, just have trouble staying up because of the fat suit.

I'd still probably give him a 3 out of 4. But again, I wasn't expecting perfection and I'm happy overall with how they turned out.

Here's a quick fix for Ed... take the excess shirt material in the back and tuck it into his pants. Makes the shirt fit tighter, and the excess material makes the pants stay up.

I call it the reverse frat tuck :rock

And for Shaun, to be clear... you can push his pants down farther on his hips which improves his look quite a bit. The shirt collar and tie on mine are a bit of a pain, I think I'll actually take an iron to it.

Ed and Shaun are a little glossy... but it looks good, unlike hyper glossy figures like Pamela.

I think the paint work on Ed and Shaun is actually some of the best I've seen Sideshow do. There is a lot of different skintone colors as opposed to the monotone paint they've churned out in the past.
