Shelley Duvall dies at 75

Duvall died Thursday in her sleep at home in Blanco, Texas. The cause was complications from diabetes.

RIP. Always fascinating to watch in whatever she did. Uncanny as Olive Oil in Robert Altman’s bizarre Popeye movie.

I can't think about her career without immediately reflecting on how Kubrick made her film that baseball bat scene 130 times. He really put her though the ringer on The Shining and I've always figured she never fully recovered from shooting it, likely leading to why she was so reclusive later in life. Which is a shame, she was so talented and had so much more she could have done.
